Guys this is unrelated but it’s been ages since I’ve tried to work this out and to this day I haven’t got a clue. Towards the end of FIILY - Lana sings “california dreaming got my money on my mind etc” and the backtrack goes “fuck it I love you” over and over. BUT the last one I am 100% sure she does not say fuck, she says a name or something and I can’t quite catch what it is that she says. I think it’s Robbie or Ronnie but who the hell are they?

Mainstream is defo NOT what I would like to hear. Her mainstream choices were all bad (lust for life? don’t call me ankle, uh no) - we will be heavily disappointed if she does that. I for one will most definitely be. Lust for life was the most mainstream I could take and ugh was it hard to swallow

Personally I wouldn’t mind a more refined NFR 2.0 - I have always regarded NFR as a great record but with odd tracks to it like cinnamon , doing time and how to disappear that don’t fit the overall sound. NFR could be the new honeymoon, kinda pensive and anaesthetic, lots of reverb, yum yum. Also a “question for the culture” lol - I love NFR (just want to put it out there) but I can’t help but think that lyrically it’s just ok? whereas the critics have especially praised the songwriting here. What am I not getting? Like born to die had lyrics like “You said I was the most exotic flower”, Ultraviolence had stuff like “yet still inside I felt alone for reasons unknown to me” , honeymoon had “there are roses in between my thighs” like shit was poetic ? Man , critics are just a bunch of wankers jerking off to each other’s opinion, I stand by that.

It might be a hint but I don’t see it being used as a cover art. From what I personally see, Lana has been playing with the idea of a post-apocalyptic world since the White Mustang video with the space rocket launching and then kind of expanded the concept with the space ships in the Norman Fucking Rockwell video, the fires, specially with Happiness) so the idea of chemtrails over a country club might be a continuation. She leaves all that behind on her boat and ends up in this country club (a bit like the Decameron where a bunch of people fled the city of Florence for the countryside in order to escape the Plague) looking for safety and peace of mind although she knows things are happening outside of that safe space because of the chemtrails looming above. The cover art could represent that , even though it sounds a little complicated to turn the thought into a picture.

I’m actually glad there haven’t been leaks yet and we know nothing about the entire project. Actually I’d rather she didn’t give away any hints at all and no lead single for the album tbh - This pandemic has caused the tour to stop which has made the NFR era feel shorter but it hasn’t even been a year since the release of the record and personally I am only just now starting to grow out of it. I also have a feeling there will be a long hiatus after COCC and the books, anyone else?
