After listening to Norman Forking Rockwell these days I went through BTD to refresh my rankings and ugh... the songs... are just all masterpieces... it kinda has the same issue as LFL does, maybe the songs don't all come together as an album to me but woah the lyrics, the songs, the themes, she was so ahead of everything tbh
ranking all the Lana albums is just an impossible chore tbh but I'll try: NFR = HM = BTD = UV > LFL
Lana is really the best artist of our generation, huh, she did that

How to Disappear is weird I like it. You were all complaining the album was going to be full of plain piano ballads beforehand and they turned it into something totally leftfield. I feel like it was inspired by Sublime. Especially that short glockenspiel (?) sample that plays a few times. I like it!
and I don't get the jingle bells thing. I think of it as a tambourine. Sure the choice is weird but whatever
After listening to it in FLAC with headphones I think I get where they were going and I like it! but tbh it sounds like it has been terribly mixed.

I need a sad seaside/beach bitch album with sultry ballads like Salvatore and Cinnamon, bops like Serial Killer and a little bit of psychedelic guitars before next summer. Like the lovechild of NFR, HM and AKA.
