guns and roses is seriously one of her best songs... but i know we're not ready for that conversation

(but at the same time... a lot of her songs are valid contenders for being her best songs :wowcry:)

:true: I was going to say the Guns and Roses hate is so tired and exaggerated but I've seen more people defend its honor lately. Youre doing the Lord's work..

  2. The Other Woman is top 3 on Ultraviolence.

Maybe not unpopular anymore but I am.. disgusted that it was paid dust and it took TikTok to appreciate her. Her best cover! SO beautiful! And the lipsters failed her :sadcore2:

DLMBM is a perfect closer too

:toofloppy: I don't think she'll ever re release AKA.

She's at the top of her acclaim ATM. There's no way she would sacrifice everything she's built over the last decade.

It pales in comparison to the image she's created for herself with her last 4 records.

Unreleased album/Sirens would be the better choice.

It's over a decade old and a gorgeous stunning divine debut that proves she's been a visionary since day 1 and she should be proud of it. I don't see why it would void her recent acclaim. In fact I think it'd be better received than ever now that critics have warmed up to her

    1. I fall asleep in an American flag / I wear my diamonds on Skid Row
    2. Drugs, suck it up, like vanilla iceys / Don't treat me rough, treat me really niceys
    3. He used to call me DN (that stood for Deadly Nightshade)
    4. Down on the West Coast, they've got their icons / Their silver starlets, their queens of Saigons
    5. All the Colombians like, "Yayo"

These always make me laugh but I adore them

does anyone know where i can find this video in higher quality/ not pitched up? also i would love to know where it originated from.

It was part of the legendary Keds campaign from 2009 when they invited up and coming artists to design a line of sneakers for them. You can see her designs here! https://lanadelrey.fandom.com/wiki/Keds

I assume these weren't sent to production? since she's not even wearing them in the video. Vegas Baby alone would've put Nike out of business :oprah3:

  5. I can listen to her laptop demos all day long so I personally don't care if it's messy, as long as it has character. Imo BB has way more life and personality than Chemtrails and especially NFR, which were the worst offense for an artist so singularly unique and distinctive. After receiving so much acclaim for the bland watered down indie singer songwriter thing that I've heard a million times before from other artists, I feared she lost it for good and it was a RELIEF to hear something somewhat experimental for her and that sounded like Lana again. I appreciate the rough edges. Plus it has several great songs and no skips for me, except Beautiful which has an admittedly grating chorus.

Lyrically, she's always had questionable moments, many of which (Picasso, Toyota) I find endearing. Grandfather is just as terribly on the nose, if not even worse than anything off this album.

Does anyone feel like filling me in on when this was said and who said it? I need help building my fantasy that a deluxe/sequel album is coming

Interview mag, but it's sort of only a reasonable assumption since she didn't explicitly say song titles. Either way those words must have/have had some sort of significance

DEL REY: That’s the other thing. At first, the title was definitely going to be Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, and then I fucking panicked and I went to Neil’s house and said, “I know this is fucked up, but I’ve changed the title. It’s going to now be called, ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Pearl Watch Me on Ring a Bell Psycho Lifeguard.’” He was like, “What the fuck?” I was like, “I’m not telling anyone. Just mock it up.” He mocked it up, but we realized that maybe it was a bit much to have six titles in one.

Do you guys think she’ll do anything for the 10th anniversary of BTD? I’d love to see her do something cool for it.

She probably won't but she should. Now that it's proven to be so enduringly successful and influential and she's established herself as a very authentic and important voice in popular music over the last decade, I imagine it would be incredibly vindicating to have it celebrated after all of the shit she got in 2012

Well. I had an extremely vivid dream where Mike dean was talking about the rest of the songs on the album and one of them she free-styled over his guitar and the chorus went like “Run, run, run, run ” I forgot parts of it but I hope it was a psychic dream because it felt so true :awkney2:

Run motorcycle run run run :angie:
