    I can’t speak for everyone but cock was the first album that underwhelmed me ;( I am not a big country fan so that was probably why. I get why people like it, it’s just not my cup of tea. Objectively these songs have more lyrical depth than 90% of Cock. God rest her soul.

    I think today has solidified this as one of the most chaotic pre-releases to date :defeated:

     

    as bad as NFR was, she fed us well in the late summer with FIILY and The greatest and doin time mvs (and other random songs like looking for America). The silence after HIADTFFFAHAHHAJA was excruciating tho

     

    at least we have Caucasian gown video to look forward to (idk who coined that name but I love it)

    yesssss dark but just a game is so similar to religion to me! I'm not sure what it is exactly. I think there are a lot of similarities to honeymoon on this album for sure, so great post!

    hot take: DBJAG is not going to age well. there's always that one song that everyone hypes up because it has a trap beat (Ex. cherry, cinnamon girl, freak) but in retrospect, they're really not top tier and they become stale after a while.

    I don't think so. I think it has a lot more traditional elements than her previous trap songs that were initially well received but aged like milk. DBJAG reminds me more of Religion from Honeymoon which is timeless :bye:

    I've been watching the meltdowns here since last Summer and I decided it's time to join in. This is the 5th lana album I've watched launch so it felt appropriate to finally join  Lanaboards :)
    I'm so excited to get my HMV exclusive cover and yellow indie record store vinyls :((((  this album gives me serious UV nostalgia, that era is unforgettable

    This album may be her best yet. It reminds me of 90's/ early 2000's radiohead from what I've heard. Those muffled guitars and haunting pianos are unforgettable :wowcry:

    Breaking up slowly killed me. Tulsa tiddy freak revived me. She snapped. I'm saving some songs for release day for extra added serotonin and to cure my Spring sadness (or make me even sadder).

     

    So far it definitely joins HM and UV level.

    LFL (sorry I love her it's just not as cohesive as any of her other projects)
