    There’s nothing particularly nuanced or lyrically fascinating about that specific line, but I think it marks a huge shift in how Lana is choosing to reveal herself. At least in that particular excerpt of the song, there’s no grandiose or cinematic presentation when she sings that lyric—just a frank, jarring confession of vulnerability.
     

    The recent singles almost feel like really gorgeous diary entries, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she delves even deeper in order to set her story straight

    SO, I'm gonna die if I don't post this. Recently I returned to this thought: NFR being about G-Eazy. Live she sings "But as some of u know, I've changed my mind" and idk why but it gave me In My Feelings vibes. The other day I made my research and... here's this weird stuff:

    If u search "g eazy laurel canyon" literally the first thing u see is pics with him and Lana. And then, is this song: https://genius.com/G-eazy-guns-n-roses-lyrics which talks about how some woman likes Guns n roses, which is funny bc she has a song named like that. Then he talks about Laurel Canyon and Mulholland Drive which is even funnier since that's what she mentions in NFR, and Jonathan Wilson actually has a song named Mulholland Queen, some people claim this one is about Lana. Also, Gerald is 6'4''. In fact, Halsey made a poem where she talks about a man whom is "almost 7 feet". This height fits with G eazy, don't think Lana actually knew the exactly measure

    In conclusion: imo, some parts of the song fits with him. But anothers, there's no way it could be him. So, NFR is a multiple man song :troll: but with him included

    random thing i think today

    i was watching NFR videos, i heard on Venice Bitch "touch me with your fingertips"

    and immediately remember "that you trace with your fingertips like a toyota"

    it also camed to my mind a comment i saw here saying sean drives a toyota lol. so maybe dumb, but i'm thinking this two songs are about him. i know it supposed they met after nfr release, and venice's it's actually from 2018 but idk, she literally has never used that exact phrase. what do u think?

I also think the reason she still performs BTD songs at concerts is because it's in her contract still. which is why she shows no effort during those songs, hardly sings, and does lazy dances. And I think she wants a lot of us to realize this. She said multiple times in VBBOTG that she is just a poet. She doesn't want this crazy industry mess, she's always just wanted to say what she needed to.

    i've never thought this... about BTD, I think that's what she wanted to do. If you hear the pre-BTD songs they already have this LDR vibes, I mean, same themes that she put on that album. She dyed her hair at 2010, and if u see her in that year or before, she kinda start wearing clothes with BTD style and stuff. She clearly had a stylist/image consultant in that era, she said that in an interview, bc she said she "had no clue of fashion" (that explains why she was mostly wearing just jeans, but even in BTD era u can see hear wearing that kind of clothes too). Basically, I feel she was doing what she wanted, and she was the same person, not made up

    I thought the same thing. They had an explanation of why they think that, we had to see the song as a friendship one :eyeroll3: but as I said, I think is about a partner relathionship, definitely Marina's relationship even if she didn't clarifie.
