OMFG. I'm that old? Really? You guys don't know Primal Scream, or Screamadelica? Well, er, this band has been around since the 80s, and Screamadelica was the 3rd album, in 1991. And it is fucking magnificent. It basically traces the journey of someone at an acid party, I think?

I put this in "What music are you listening to?", but I think this album deserves a thread. I searched the forum for Screamadelica: There were no results for your search. Try broadening your criteria or choosing a different content area. Wait...WHAT?? I've just rediscovered this magnificent album. Back in '91 I loved it, but I criminally glossed over many of the tracks. I wish the damn thing was released with both versions of Come Together, back to back, fast followed by slow. And I wish the track Screamadelica itself was on it, closing out the album. After some intense/quiet tracks near the end, Screamadelica would serve as excellent "exit music". (Does anyone know wtf I am talking about?)

Yeah, maybe 2-3 years. She has been very busy since NFR. 3 albums in the span of just over 2 years, and VBBOTG to boot. I'm guessing 2024 for LDR9.

Oh, hello there, COCC!! Sometimes I wonder if LDR will surprise us all and make a great big fuckin' party-dance album next, for the post-pandemic. Maybe call it Born To Live. (Springsteen had a couple of Borns, right?)

Yeah, I'm in this boat also. The very nature of COCC (Did I just type "the nature of COCC"? Anyway....) makes it not an instantly loveable/understandable album, and then BB gets released soon afterwards and (imho) completely overshadows the former album. I need more COCC in my life. (Wait....)

Whoever this is, I bet he is so vain. While I cannot comprehend how anyone can feel this way about my fav LDR album, I'm always interested in reading the various and wide-ranging reactions to her work. So.....er......thanks.

I should probably put this in the COTCC thread, and I'm sure it has been mentioned there, but I'm amazed at Lana's Joni impression in For Free. In parts of the song, her vocalizing is a dead ringer for Joni, to my ears. Joni inhabits Lana on this cover. I think it's brilliant how Lana did this.

Just for interest sake, what is going on in that back cover image? LDR and her friend at a party, with a cat of some kind, hovering over a trophy cup full of something? And why do we get the lyrics to only a few songs in the CD booklet, just like in NFR and COTCC? (This has always bugged me!)

Oh, it's fucking brilliant, like so many others on this monumental album. Every spin of BB that I do I find new beautiful things on it. And I'm convinced that it wins the award for the most criminally overlooked album of 2021.
