  1. Lana changes her mind again and changes her stage name back to Lana Del Ray, pulls all her material off iTunes, and releases a Greatest Hits album named "The Summertime Sadness Collection" featuring Dan Heath's remastered orchestral mixes of her best songs such as Summertime Sadness, Guns and Roses, and Carmen.
  2. sorry, it was just mild amusement on my behalf. i wasn't even that bothered. it was a joke lol also barrie just called lana "Betty Spaghetti" on twitter lmao
  3. "honeymoon is alive and breathing" ummm no bitch more like "i put honeymoon back to sleep"
  4. imagine if Lana releases the song and the real lyrics are inferior to these fake ones
  5. 1. How did you discover Lana? When and What Era? Searched for opera Carmen and got the LDR song Carmen. This was January 2014. 2. First song(s)? Carmen and Born To Die. 3.what did you think? I absolutely loathe Carmen with a passion now lmao. I still love Born To Die. 4. Your favourite song(s)? Born To Die, Off To The Races, Blue Jeans, Video Games (first 4 songs of BTD are literally perfect), National Anthem Demo, Summertime Sadness, Ride, Yayo, Ultraviolence, West Coast, Pretty When You Cry, The Other Woman, Put Me In A Movie, Kill Kill, Serial Killer, You Can Be The Boss 5. Least favourite song(s)? Carmen (), Old Money, Million Dollar Man , Sad Girl, Mermaid Motel, Gramma 6. What song(s) "grew" on you? Cruel World, Pretty When You Cry, Off To The Races, Velvet Crowbar 7. Whats your favourite Lana era as of now? (May jailer, Lizzy Grant, Lana Del Rey) Lana Del Rey 8. Favourite Album(s)? Ultraviolence. 9. Least favourite(s) ? pretty much everything before AKA 10. Favourite song preformed live? Ultraviolence in Houston on the first concert of the Endless Summer Tour. 11. First song/Album purchased/Downloaded? Born To Die - The Paradise Edition 12. Favourite song quote/lyric? "Tell me I'm your National Anthem" really resonates with me for some reason. The lyrics on that song are so good, except the "boo yaa baby bow wow take ma body downtown" parts I also love the lyrics to West Coast.
  6. i won't ❤ that's a lesson learned thanx bbe - this thread is 100% no place for any of my terrible, pernickety (unpopular) opinions right xx
  7. k soz 4 expressing my opinion i won't do it again
  8. All I'm saying is that out of the 15 seconds I heard I didn't think the production was particularly unique. The rest of the song could be amazing. I hope it is.
  9. Good unpredictability would be playing a different mix of songs each concert or occassionally adding or replacing songs to the setlist. Unpredictability you don't want is Lana randomly omitting multiple songs and playing a short set on some particular dates.
  10. Mildly apprehensive might be a better way to put it than scared - I hope I turn out to be wrong about the production.
  11. I listened to the snippet on IG and it sounds so generic and similar to LiB, WFL: uninteresting synthesised strings, reverb, etc. It doesn't have anything that truly completes a song and enhances it (the live drums/guitar in West Coast, the hiphop samples in Born To Die, violins/piano simultaneously on Ultraviolence). But you do have a point - I've only heard a tiny bit of it so can't talk about the whole song. But that is just my personal opinion on the chorus in particular.
  12. I'm scared for the production of Honeymoon. Haynie's BTD production wasn't perfect and overproduced at times, but it was lush and exciting. Auerbach production was sparse at times but it sounded really organic and coherent. I'm worried Honeymoon will have uninspired production and have the worst qualities of each era sonically. I'm not really a fan of Honeymoon song production (to be fair we've only heard 10s) as it sounds so worryingly similar to WFL and LiB and its simply so generic Lana (strings, layered vocals). I guess we need to hear more to identify her sonical themes for Honeymoon.
  13. Go to http://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmytongue . They may be able to help. Do you remember any lyrics, singing styles, what the production was like, etc? Your description does not make it easy, as there are literally going to be thousands of songs about sex and thousands of videos with scantily clad women in the past 10 years.
  14. Too scared to post this elsewhere - The song Honeymoon is repetitive and the production is boring. It would not do well as a single, because it just isn't catchy and it has some bizarre risqué lyrics. It's not my favourite song at all. Don't kill me.
  15. all the lines which contain the word "daddy"
  16. what happened to Lanaboards? It was down for about three days.
  17. I think today's Apple Music news does have implications for the release of Honeymoon (and music in general). I feel there has been a clear change in the music industry - now we have a real competitor to Spotify and undoubtedly this will significantly increase streaming. I'm excited to see what this means for HM promotion.
  18. beats1 is launching at the same time and will be available even for people who aren't paying for the apple music subscription. When the Apple Music Android app is released, something like 90% of smartphones will be able to listen to it. It's really exciting in terms of artist releases and stuff because it's global and not regional (BBC R1 in UK, etc)
  19. I think it's very possible Lana (her label) may premiere songs on the new Beats1 global station - pretty much everyone in the world can listen. Interscope and Apple are tight, I think.
  20. Its going to be available for Android too, albeit later.
  21. wow Apple's done more promo for Lana today than shes done in the past two years
  22. It could happen - Jimmy Iovine (interscope) now works for Apple.
