The Grants
one time beauty queen replied to Elle's topic in Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd
These John Denver ‘Rocky Mountain High’ lyrics "He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below He saw everything as far as you can see And they say that he got crazy once and he tried to touch the sun And he lost a friend but kept the memory" going so beautifully w The Grants lyrics/theme, no wonder she name dropped, I love that it's what Harry Nilsson's 'Don't Forget Me' was to the title track- 103 replies

i love this one so much obviously: "baby you, all the things you do & the ways you move send me straight to Heaven - baby you, what you never knew, what I never said is you're my living legend" is like the highest compliment to another.. adorable, sweet, heart-warming but also: "you never cared about my name & darling I never meant to defy you" // "I never meant to be bad or unwell, I was just living on the edge right between Heaven n Hell & I'm tired of it" is really important to me because it shows the other very real side of love, the one that's not as perfect n beautiful but also exists & can be overcome with the right person <3

Last Movie You Watched?

just finished Vertigo ! I enjoyed it, despite the overt sexism (), as I do most of Hitchcock's flicks lolol it was the 50s, so what can you do.. at least the times have changed but a solid 3.5/5 imo- eerie, unsettling, surprising & all that jazz -
i think it's a damn shame when people write entire songs off in advance solely because of the producer to each his own, i guess if you expect the very worse it can only go up from there so that's good but it just seems a bit silly. I'll be honest, for me it's Jack who I'm not the most fond of but he still undoubtedly has talent & those magic moments that really get me & I go into every one of his songs w Lana hoping for one. why would I hope for anything less- I got nothing against the dude personally & I'd rather have another track by my fave to enjoy! sometimes it sits, sometimes it doesn't.. point is, it's worth a shot you know plus sometimes even if the prod isn't your very fave, Lana's melodies n lyrics are truly more than enough to save it
