  1. wow how does she always manage to look amazing literally just walking down the street????
  2. I will share it on my Instagram. I have 3.2k followers so it should reach a few people This is a great idea! I hope it trends on Twitter!
  3. Honestly I'm still more excited for the tracklist reveal than the music video for LFL. I really want to know if BAR is actually on this album or not! (Personally I actually like this song even better than LFL and Love).
  4. She's said a lot of things but it doesn't mean they're true. I mean, this is the woman who literally lied about her age & the year she was born just so that she could be seen as one or two years younger than she really is!!! I wouldn't put it past Lana to try and discard that theory. She knows the true fans know how the song was partly inspired by the story. I think she just doesn't want the GP to still think of her as this sad girl struggling with depression and singing songs about suicide. It really seems like she's trying to recreate her image a bit, with more of a focus on the positive elements of love and life rather than death and darkness. She doesn't want the people in the broader public to start hearing about the connections of this song to a suicide. She doesn't want people to misunderstand her intentions (no DLMBM pun intended), and to end up in another controversy where people think she's glorifying suicide. I like the aforementioned theory that the song takes inspiration from the Peg Entwistle events, but she's recreated it with a positive spin - that she's actually a ghost witch of love watching over the youth of the world (represented by Lana and Abel sitting on the H of the Hollywood sign followed by a shot of Lana with the spinning world globe, producing hearts which symbolises her sending her love to the earth).

    Troye Sivan

sounds kinda generic but hey... I'll take new Troye music any day
  6. Really? That's one of my favorite parts!
  7. Your posts are always so intriguing. Thank you for sharing. I absolutely love reading them! It is certainly an odd occurrence to have Lana mention all these specific details connected to Peg Entwistle's story but for her to not be aware of their symbolic significance. So many of the lyrics make sense in light of the Entwistle story. "Climb up the H of the Hollywood sign, yeah In these stolen moments, the world is mine (do it, do it)" The symbolism of the H is probably the most identifiable symbol, obviously having jumped from it and falling to her death, but the "do it, do it" part especially haunts me, as I interpret it as Entwistle's inner consciousness telling her to commit suicide. "We're the masters of our own fate We're the captains of our own souls" This part also seems relevant to the story, perhaps acting as a justification of leaving behind the world, since we are all in control of our own fate and our own souls under this philosophy. "They say only the good die young That just ain't right" Entwistle died at a very young age - 24 to be exact. "Then, we dance on the H of the Hollywood sign, yeah 'Til we run out of breath, gotta dance 'til we die" That last part has an uncanny resemblance! It really is unusual that Lana has written this song, unaware of its other meanings. I like the theory that this is a case of Jungian synchronicity

    Dua Lipa

yeah it's not bad. Not her best and probably won't listen to it much outside of the album but it's a good song overall, there's nothing really I can complain about in it.

    Dua Lipa

Also... WOW did y'all know that Rick Nowels produced Lost in Your Light?? He's credited as the only producer on the track.
  10. haha yeah that's what I meant in my last post

    Dua Lipa

Look, at this point i don't even care anymore I just want the damn album no matter how messy the trackless is I swear that she put half my faves on the deluxe though... Last Dance, Room For 2, New Love... wow looks like I will definitely have to buy the deluxe then hahaa
  12. Why does she say she hates songs that sound "glossy" and "clean" all over but then releases the title track which sounds exactly like that... really polished production-wise and completely lacks that rawness that she claims to so fondly love. Lol queen of contradictions
  13. As much as I like Lust for Life, I'm honestly still more shook by Ur Girl right now lol
  14. #13 Australian iTunes! Woo! It has been going up in the charts all day which is great.
  15. I feel bad for her. She's getting so much hate on her Facebook page because of how commercial and pop the song is. Honestly I wish these pretentious "fans" would just fuck off already. I understand that it might not be their favorite kind of music Lana has released. Even for me personally I would have preferred she did something more experimental but at the end of the day I will still support her and listen to the music because 1) it's still amazing even if it is pop and very commercialised and 2) that's what a true fan does. EDIT: mess at that last guy not knowing how to spell and also using the acronym "LDL" instead of "LDR" And further mess at that Tabitha girl not liking it because it is too "commercial" - because, you know, a song is automatically bad if other people like it and it ends up selling well
  16. Lana just came for us with a BTD rehash but much happier and bright with Lust for Life when absolutely nobody thought she'd actually ever return to that big cinematic, pop sound... so what if Marina delivers a modern pop album a la Electra Heart but with a more positive and less dark vibe?? You never know with Marina, she's always changing her opinions on everything, one minute she hates pop and thinks it's garbage and trashes Dr. Luke, next minute she loves it and she's working with Dr. Luke on multiple tracks, then again she starts trashing it to appeal to the more indie fans again (which really didn't work), so who knows... maybe she's going to go back to loving pop but making it her own again, since EH was her most popular era commercially.

    Your Girl

This song is absolutely amazing. I can definitely see how it came from the UV time period, as it has that same rawness and melancholic, dark emotion to it, a perfect mix of tragedy and beauty.
  18. I mean I want new music from her so badly but dear god I hope her songs don't end up being trash like JB and so on

    David Bowie

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll have to check these out when I get time!

    Harry Styles

I must be the only one that thinks that album cover is hideous... everyone in this thread is praising it but I personally don't like it at all.
  21. So when's the Kristijan Majic Remix coming?
  22. "Please" is a great record. I will have to give "Actually" a listen soon. Apparently "Very" is a very (no pun intended) popular album of theirs. What do you think of that one?

    Dua Lipa

i know, but they just dragged this album out for so long and I think it's been quite harmful to her career in a sense. Like a lot of my friends like her music but they won't listen to her because she doesn't have an album out yet
