Queen of trending on Youtube and entering the top 10 charts! (and being #8 for both lol!)

As much as I love Love and think it's a 10/10 song, it's probably my least favorite lead single so far. It sounds more like a brilliant film soundtrack rather than an album track in my opinion. I think my ordering goes like this: West Coast > Video Games > Ride > High By The Beach > Love All amazing songs in their own ways and fantastic lead singles, but nothing will probably ever beat her magnum opus West Coast!

this ^^^ Honestly... if you want to see gays kissing then listen to an artist that writes music about gay experiences. Lana is (presumably) completely straight and sings about her experience with men so why would anyone expect a video of hers to be referencing a gay couple? I know this video is about her fans and all, but the song has absolutely nothing to do with sexuality so I don't even know how these sorts of comments are relevant. Just shut up and enjoy the video everyone and stop finding the most minuscule of things to complain about!

They're also on the same label together so that's not too much of a reach!

Firstly, how on earth is anyone supposed to take you seriously with a username like that? Second of all, it's really not that much of a reach considering she has posted things on her social media about how it is an artist's duty to reflect the times and how she has been posting a bunch of political stuff, like Obama ending access to the Dakota Pipeline and so on. Just because you have a different interpretation of a song doesn't mean that anyone whose view is different is wrong.

Honestly I love both Lana and Marina with all of my heart but I'm struggling to imagine a collab between the two that would actually sound good. Idk, their voices are so different, Marina's voice is a lot more playful and operatic while Lana's is more relaxed and classic. I suppose if they really worked on it, they could probably find a middle ground but honestly it'd probably be awkward and feel "forced", in a way. Idk, I'm sure that Lana wouldn't put out something she's not proud of, and so far there are only about 5 songs in her released discography that I don't really like, everything else is just FANTASTIC! I'm guessing a collab with Zella Day, Lykke Li, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd or Father John Misty is a lot more likely considering that she's actually friends with these people in real life already or has already worked with them. Honestly, I don't really like the idea of a collab on a Lana album that much but idk, it's probably a bit premature to judge since we don't know who it's with/what the song sounds like. I'm taking a guess that the majority of the album would still be 100% Lana. I doubt there'd be much more than a couple of collabs, if even that many.

I'll probably get 5% but hey at least I will be listening to a new Lana song while I do it

I know this is a complete mess but there's no need to scrap the entire album, what an overreaction in my opinion. It's disappointing the song has leaked, yes, and I know it will be more work, but instead of scrapping everything, why doesn't her label just release things earlier?? They've already invested $$ in this so they may as well just push their release schedule/promo strategy to earlier dates.

Her label needs to release it NOW! She is trending on Twitter right now so they should use the hype to their advantage. Plus, it has luckily leaked at the perfect time since the new tracking week is Friday, so releasing it now would maximize her sales and ensure that the leak doesn't affect her sales very much. People are going to forget the song if they wait any longer, they need to deal with this right now!!

Although I understand her managers' concerns for the era and the single, I'm sorry to say, but if they had actually taken more care in protecting Lana's work then this never would have happened. Considering Lana generally only works with a handful of people on each album so there's really not that many people who even have access to the material, it's utterly insane that her managers can't even protect her work. I agree that we should prevent any leaks being spread around this forum but at the end of the day, the only ones to truly blame for all of this mess are her managers. If they actually cared about Lana's work then none of this would be happening. Messy stans will always be messy, no matter how many times they are told not to leak stuff and spoil surprises. Lana's managers should know this by now, particularly considering Lana has a sort of cult following with a lot of unstable and over the top fans. I mean, her "fans" have stolen her car, camped out in her garage and even broken into her house. I'm not trying to justify the ugly and disrespectful behaviour of people spreading things around, all I'm trying to say is that her label is completely to blame for all of this and it's a joke that they are only taking action now, once a bajillion snippets have been leaked and a still and a full portion of the music video is being spread around. The damage is done now and Lana's managers should truly be ashamed for how poorly they have "managed" her work. Trying to frame LanaBoards as the culprit of all this mess is immature on her label's behalf, since it is their fault they couldn't secure the material. All that happens on here is people discuss material obtained from outside sources that has spread over all corners of the internet. Of course, it is in Lana's best interest for all of us to stop the spread of her material on here, but at the end of the day, her label needs to take responsibility for what has happened and acknowledge that they have let Lana down.
