  10. Ok so I did some digging about the audio playing, and I think she's listening to either an audiobook or a documentary about Evelyn Nesbit. She was an artists model, actress and chorus girl who became really well known in NYC, being idealized as a ''gibson girl'' and was involved in a ''love triangle'' with two other men, Harry Kendall Thaw and Stanford White. She was married with Thaw and White was obsessed with her, culminating in Thaw murdering White, which led to a trial called the ''Trial of the Century'' due to the whole media circus around it. The part playing during Lana's vid is about a trip to Europe she went on with Thaw after a surgery while she was in boarding school. After the ordeal, she toured Europe as part of a dance troupe, giving birth to her son with Thaw during it. She came back to the US and went to Hollywood where she became an actress in silent films. She passed away in Santa Monica at the age of 82.
  11. Honeymoon is alive and breathing again
  12. I like the interface, it's very cute if they bring personalization ala twitter, imo it could succeed. Ofc there's the anonimity twitter provides vs linking threads to insta (on top of the number id showing up on your profile rip), but for now using your lurker insta works as a workaround, that way the number assigned will be to that account/profile and not your main/personal.
  13. Her nascar cap and harley davidson jacket very BTD era ferrari jackets
  14. For a while I thought Yayo was a pretty straightforward love song too, without the double entendre refering to drugs. I'm not a native english speaker and at the time I didn't know ''yayo'' was another name for coke. On top of the slang meaning, It's a nickname -a diminutive of sorts for certain names like Eduardo- and at the time there was a very big youtuber in the mexican YT community named Yayo Gutierrez, so everytime I heard the song I was reminded of the youtuber
  15. She did the french lipsters so dirty choosing such a small venue. When she announced she was coming to Mexico's Foro Sol, with a capacity of 65,000 people, some people were commenting stuff like ''she probably won't be able to fill the stadium, hopefully I'll get tickets on sale''....and like sis there were more than 40,000 people on the queue, instant sold out
  16. SHE SANG SALVATORE ugh what a show, I'm so happy for her!! I'm really excited for the Paris show now
  17. I think the biggest factor is that it is pretty much buried beneath her now 9 albums plus collabs, EPs, remixes, etc. on top of the mountain of unreleased music, it becomes really overwhelming for a newer fan to start combing through her material. It is also a pretty unique sounding album with the 'surf noir' sound and B movie aesthetics, it clashed with Lana's then luscious hollywood glamour image. I remember vividly opening up iTunes and seeing BTD's cover, looking Lana up on Youtube and falling in love with her music. By the time I learned about AKA's existence, Honeymoon was months away to be released and I had already been playing BTD and UV to death while waiting for Honeymoon, so I had plenty of time to get familiar with AKA. Queen of The Gas Station was my favourite song off of it for a loooong time, but nowadays I think that title goes for Pawn Shop Blues.
  18. Pretty sure my first CD was A Little Bit Longer by the Jonas Brothers lol. My first vinyl was The Dark Side of the Moon 40th Anniversary Editon, it was a gift from my parents in high school.
  19. He indeed has been one of her main muses and the relationship that has led to the creation of a lot of her best tracks imo. His influence is present in almost every album of hers and it doesn't surprise me since they had great creative chemistry. The fact that they still hold respect and high regards for each other is heartwarming, and thankfully we got Riverside released officially! A joint album would've been absolute magic, but at least we have the tracks they created at the time to enjoy.
