    on one side, there's the haunting, confessional, wordy, reflective, melancholic side that has songs like The Grants, DYK, Sweet, Candy Necklace, Kintsugi, Fingertips, Grandfather, and Paris, Texas
    and then on the other, there's this lustful, sensual, fun, energetic, carefree, warm side with songs like Let The Light In, Margaret, Fishtail, Peppers, Taco Truck x VB, and the second half of A&W

     

    A&W could've been used to connect those two halves pretty iconically

    God that album just left me in awe....... how does she surprise us with a nuanced new sound yet feel so familiar and quintessential every 👏🏼 single 👏🏼 time 👏🏼. But this time it feels extra elevated, just artistic and experimental and confident and mature. I'm happy for her, she seems to be in a good head space and she is at an all-time high lyrically and vocally

    The way she talks/whispers, the out of rhythmic style, on the verses (for ‘Peppers’) reminds me of the Gorillaz’s track called ‘Rhinestone Eyes.’ And the build up that’s very experimental goes so hard 🔥  it REALLY reminds me of Gorillaz as well! Love this song and can’t wait to hear in HQ)!! 

     

     

    Are you serious?????!! I can't wait to hear this I love Rhinestone Eyes and its off-beatness. Also while we're at it can we acknowledge how unique that song is. The little instrumental breakdown is basically its chorus it's pretty genius
