Lush Life is pretty good and it's definitely still growing on me. I'll have to look into some of her other stuff and hope that she releases some more really good singles in the near future

Love everything except Paradise, the chorus vocals are pitched so ridiculously high that it ruins it for me

it was within the top 10 in midweeks
pretty sure the midweeks don't include streaming though so it's not too bad. It was no.6 on downloads, 13 in overall sales and 26 in streaming. Honestly, those numbers aren't too bad and considering they managed to get a no.12 peak with barely any promo.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with ANTi's packing, but it's basically the exact same. Kind of like an oversized tall & rectangular digipak. I thin this type of packing actually is called a zinepak(?)
Oh okay. I always find it weird when there's different packaging for albums in different countries, we've got the same ANTi deluxe as the rest of the world but both LOUD and Unapologetic came in jewel cases still and I'm pretty sure US got both of them in digipak form. Also, Zinepak is actually a company that do special packaging for artists/companies that sign a contract with them. The "Zine" part of the name is short for magazine so most of the Zinepaks are like magazine-photobook-albums-in-one. They have a website as well; they did a Zinepak for Lindsey Stirling's most recent album and also the cereal-box thing for Mac Miller's GO:OD AM

The production and "I got to do things my own way DAHHLINGgGG" sold it for me lmao.
anyway I picked up the deluxe CD today and it's nice, but I just hate that shape of packaging. Like, Unapologetic was enough. Now I have TWO CDs that stick out and don't fit in my neatly organized and alphabetized collection lol
What's Unapologetic's physical packaging like for you? I'm UK and the deluxe is just a flip-out jewel case

Even though you are right with saying it's a good album and one of the best ones from 2015, I think it's her weakest. The sound is the most "bland" ones she ever had, the instrumentals are overly simple and her voice is way too smooth. The lyrics and the mood of the album is not as interesting as TFJ and EH ... Froot is good but somehow missing this unique Marina-touch on many aspects.
To each their own. Personally I wasn't a massive fan of TFJ and the more I listen to EH the more uncomfortable Marina sounds as Electra. I don't know, something about FROOT really clicked with me and Gold>>>>>>>
It did debut as numer 8 in the US tho, I don't think she's had better commercial success.
First week sales were good but the 8-96 drop...

I adore every song honestly I wouldn't know the deluxe tracks were bonus ones if it wasn't specified, that's the quality of this album
