I’m sorry but this getting anything better than a just meh review has me legitimately wondering if her team paid off critics. Because it’s not possible that anyone with working ears, let alone a music critic can listen to this and give it a 4/5, or even 5/5 honestly, if anything, makes me care less about what critics think because clearly they have a secondary agenda

The lyrics are horrendous I was really rooting for her but my disappointment is immeasurable. I just can’t understand how she thought people would put this on without physically cringing. That said, Maroon and Lavender Rush are the best songs here and I do like them. Rest is extremely meh to unlistenable (Broke Down Karma, Vagina Infrction, parts of Anti Hearing Loss)

When SOTB is a tame piano ballad and Lana makes a vague post about it 3 weeks after it’s release saying “a taste of what’s to come x” and proceeds to not drop an album until Summer 2023

She seems impulsive and like she does things for this weird space aesthetic utopian value where quality and heart is completely lost. It's all fluff but nothing at the center feels genuine lately, art wise.

Holy shit, that is most definitely Ian Kirkpatrick. Now I genuinely have NO idea what to expect. So far we know Drew, Ian, Jack (right), and who else? I wonder if Ian is working on making those “automatic melodies” tighter and more digestible than the verbal diarrhea it very well might be

Would love a cover of Angelene by PJ Harvey on the album - I can actually see her going for this vibe sonically as well. Also anybody ever noticed the perhaps unintentional interpolation of the lyric "prettiest mess you've ever seen" with "prettiest in-crowd you've ever seen" in TIWMUG... the phrasing and timing is almost identical (00:12)

I’d prefer a track list of 10-12 cohesive, masterfully completed songs than a 15 track bloated conglomeration of unreleased, leftovers and a few new songs.

Honestly, I do have a feeling this will be in the vain of WFWF and Arcadia - it’s the sonic direction she’s been heading for a few years now. Not my first choice but always appreciate more music from her. Would love something FIREY from her though, I don’t need a UV2 (well, I do) but something that goes OFF would be amazing
