The list of artists she mentioned as inspirations for the next era are pretty much my least favorite kind of music ever (besides Janet)... it’s like stupid happy funk pop with no darkness and CHARLIE PUTH I trust her but I can already sort of hear the direction she’s going in with the new stuff she performed and it just doesn’t feel like it has enough edge. I’ll reserve judgement for actual releases though

I honestly do believe she'll deliver at some point this Summer. Chemtrails has been done for almost a year now so she has had plenty of time to record new material. I HOPE we get something aggressive a la UV. I know that's every fan's wet dream but I just want that firey sound back. We had delicate Lana with Honeymoon, pensive Lana with LFL, over it Lana with NFR, and wandering Lana on Chemtrails. It's time for a shakeup!

Record historically was used to refer to the physical vinyl you would put in a record player, therefor there really is no "correct" meaning for it. However, nowadays it's almost exclusively used to refer to an album so I really don't think we should have any doubts. And why would she announce a SINGLE so early

I do feel a bit like COCC is to NFR as Paradise is to BTD COTCC and Paradise feel sonically and thematically located a little farther away from the “city” whether that be New York or LA. They feel like she’s searching for new ground (on Paradise, out in the desert. On COTCC, in the rural Midwest). Also both, projects are shorter than their predecessors but connect with sonic themes from them

The only reason there was such a delay for COTCC was because vinyl pressings were slow due to COVID. Now that they're back on track, there really shouldn't be much delay. COTCC was intended to come out September 5th and was done in early-mid 2020 so really this would have been a UV to HM timing situation if it wasn't for COVID
