TrailerParkDarling Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 OK so apparently the soundcloud and all the youtube links for Will U still love me have been taken down all of a sudden!!! =O I wonder if it has 2 do w/ gatsby! 4 Quote *** People call me crazy but I'm in demand ***
MafiosiPrincessa Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 the Bel Air music video she posted a while ago has also been set on private. Either she's making a different video for it or maybe she's using it for Great Gatsby?? Usually when she privatizes vids they have either gotten a huge amount of negative feedback (ie. the remixes she posted last yr) or she ends up using the songs for a different project. Remember when she suddenly put the Yayo vid on private and before you know it, it was on Paradisenevermind i was thinking of a dif vid oops! 2 Quote It's never 2 late 2 be the things that u might've been* i'll sing till u fall asleep- u try and remember when*the future looked lush and sweet
HunterAshlyn Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Along with Jay-Z, Gaga, and Prince Sources? I know about Jay-Z... but Prince and Gaga?! Where did you see this? 0 Quote
drewby Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Sources? I know about Jay-Z... but Prince and Gaga?! Where did you see this? They both said they were working on songs because a rep mentioned the producers couldn't turn down submissions from artists like them 0 Quote
howiet1971 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 "In November 2012, Del Rey explains: “I’ve been helping composers write scores for movies. So, like, there’s a movie coming out in the summer that’s set in the 1920s and it’s been fun for me to write love songs for the woman who is the star.” So yes, she definitely wrote music for The Great Gatsby, and we are definitely ready for it." So she may not be singing the songs on the OST, but the star of the film will? 0 Quote
YUNGATA Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 9 kinds of excited. This will be beautiful, I feel it. 1 Quote

howiet1971 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I am not sure she will be singing them, perhaps just writing the songs. "it’s been fun for me to write love songs for the woman who is the star.” 0 Quote
lflflflflflflflflflf Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I hope it's kinda like Adele Skyfall/James Bond, Lana/Gatsby. I think a movie theme will propel her to success in the US. 2 Quote

BChed Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 THIS IS HUGE!!!! She's a primary part of a big budget film starring the biggest movie star in the world, DiCaprio, with the film's music being produced in part by Jay Z, one of the biggest music icons in the world. .....if something were to finally push her into the realm of superstardom in the US this would be it. 1 Quote
Coney Island King Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 There is no way she won't sing at least ONE song or feature on something. They have a singer on their hands with one of the highest selling albums of 2012, they'd be crazy not to use her voice SOMEWHERE. 3 Quote
Sitar Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I should hope The Great Gatsby isn't a musical, so I don't know why she'd be writing music for anyone but herself. "Will You Still Love Me" would be so perfect 1 Quote
Hundred Dollar Bill Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I never liked the story but yay! I guess I'll convince myself to see the movie now that she's playing a big part in it, heh. I'm happy she's enjoying herself. 0 Quote
DominicMars Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I enjoyed the book and the movie with Mia Farrow. Super excited to see what turns out 0 Quote
Coney Island King Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I should hope The Great Gatsby isn't a musical, so I don't know why she'd be writing music for anyone but herself. It's not a musical. Baz likes to create big soundtracks with his movies too, we saw that with Moulin Rouge and Romeo and Juliette. Looks like he's wanting a lead song to promote this also. 0 Quote

That is what I'm hoping for...come on Lana, you can still make it there! 0 Quote
