Monicker Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Whatever the song and arrangement ends up being, the question is: can we count on it to heavily feature the Auto-Tuned loon?? 0 Quote "The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." -Wittgenstein
Sitar Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 "Ride" would be a ridiculous title for She's Not Me. Also, "cruising down Santa Monica Boulevard/when you take her to Chateau Marmont" = LA, not Las Vegas. But HOW successful would that shit be?! And this music video has the dark hair...oh, I came. 0 Quote
Lana Del Rey Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 The possibilities of it being an unreleased song/demo is possible. Jaime King also said "Have some patience" on her tweet, which makes me think a possible newly leaked song will be a single or will be on the album. It may just have a different name. Knowing Lana she'll mention Ride once in the whole song, like she did with Blue Jeans 0 Quote Angel-Headed Hipster
Coney Island King Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 "Ride" would be a ridiculous title for She's Not Me. Well she does sing "is she ride or die" before the chorus. 0 Quote
Sitar Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Well she does sing "is she ride or die" before the chorus. This is true, but "She's Not Me" is the most important statement of the song, and also has the most effect and emphasis. 0 Quote
Auto-Tuned Loon Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Whatever the song and arrangement ends up being, the question is: can we count on it to heavily feature the Auto-Tuned loon?? If Emile Haynie is credited on the production, then yes. The truth is he just lets me run wild in the studio while he's passed out drunk. 0 Quote A bad sample, repeated often with unwarranted glee.
lflflflflflflflflflf Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 After arguing a lot in the BTD Paradise thread, and listening to the full version sof the songs, I could say that Damn You and Hollywood's Dead should be re-instrumented and put on the Paradise edition. I could totally see She's Not Me being the fast 'Off To The Races' track on this release though. I hope she stays in her current genre though since Blue Velvet and Body Electric seem very similar sounding in texture. But if I'm totally honest, I would rather have new songs than relisten to different versions of old songs because we all know that the demo version will always be x100 times better! 0 Quote
Monicker Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Quentin Tarantino should direct it. Please no, for the love of all that is good in the world, no. If Emile Haynie is credited on the production, then yes. The truth is he just lets me run wild in the studio while he's passed out drunk. O hai AT loon! I wuz wonderin when u were going 2 show up around these parts. I see you ran amok on Blue Velvet. KIT, buddi! 0 Quote "The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." -Wittgenstein
Guest MissDaytona Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I can't stand Quentin Tarantino. OK Kill Bill is great but that's it lol 0 Quote
The Lucky Ones Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 If its actually 'She's not me', I'm having a seizure. That song is one of my favourites! 0 Quote
Matt Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I can't stand Quentin Tarantino. OK Kill Bill is great but that's it lol I still can't really love Kill Bill. Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Jackie Brown get my biggest votes out of his work. (Sorry for going off-topic and such) 0 Quote

Matt Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 ew but if this just turns out 2 be for that a$ap rocky song .. no thnx the imagery doesn't sound like sumthing a$ap would do anyways tho When I first read the title of the thread the A$AP Rocky song automatically came to mind. I like the song but if that's what the video is for, it'd be such a letdown in my opinion. 0 Quote
Sitar Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I'd still like to see a video for "Ridin", though. But this video sounds straight-up badass. She must be the star. 0 Quote
