V3N1C3B1TCH Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 This song hit me as very "Ultraviolence"... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62Tgzl-bLQ0 2
Creyk Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I want a song called "Peach Hippo"...I just do
Arzi Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 These are some songs he's credited as the producer (2013) take a listen Azamane Tiliade - Bombino (typical uptempo indie band song) https://soundcloud.com/nonesuchrecords/03-azamane-tiliade-2 Valerie June - Wanna Be On Your Mind (this one reminds me of Lana) Hanni El Khatib - Head In The Dirt (some heavier beats) https://soundcloud.com/umusic-backstage/hanni-el-khatib-head-in-the He's a great producer, now I'm hoping the album won't sound like movie score 1
lflflflflflflflflflf Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Listening to his production history it sounds like UV is gonna be either really simple or we're gonna have an album of indie rock Maha Mahas and Betty Boop Boops.
TrailerParkDarling Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 ugh on those songs he's produced the drums are really simple or they sound like he pushed the kick drum and snare buttons on a keyboard :/ I want heavy drums plssss 2 *** People call me crazy but I'm in demand ***
ilovetati Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I love the chill, bittersweet indie rock sound. I'm sure Lana's production will be more dynamic and cinematic with strings and more instrumentals, though.
silver starlet Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 hes not the only producer though right? she def. worked with dan heath & emile haynie so idk... is dan auerbach supposed to be the "main" producer or what?
leaked_version Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 hes not the only producer though right? she def. worked with dan heath & emile haynie so idk... is dan auerbach supposed to be the "main" producer or what? Well you know, since she and Dan Auerbach are so incredibly excited to present us Ultraviolence, they should better ask Universal where the release date is at, Then she could talk about the album and we would know more about the songs and the people involved. 1

I was literally just thinking this. Were the songs she did with Emile scrapped or reworked by Dan Auerbach? Did she just forget to mention them?

lflflflflflflflflflf Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 A recent song he produced! I love the sound. Imagine if Lana went right back to the 50s/60s and made an oldies sounding album.
ilovetati Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Imagine Dan doing production on a new version of Black Beauty...now that would be gorgeous. The stripped down version would be wonderful as it is with the synth and simple production, but the bridge needed to be completely reworked. 1
leaked_version Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I doubt that Auerbach is the only producer on Ultraviolence. Dan Heath will also be on there since he is a close friend of hers and Emile probably as well. There was simply not enough time space left to ditch something she already recorded with Emile. She probably just wanted to confirm that Auerbach is one of the producers to give us a little bit of information till Universal sets a release date.

Paradise, for example, had Daniel Heath, Justin Parker, Rick Nowels, Tim Larcombe, and Rick Rubin.

Paradise, for example, had Daniel Heath, Justin Parker, Rick Nowels, Tim Larcombe, and Rick Rubin. Hoping for Mike Will Made It Justin is not on UV and Rick Nowels seems unlikely. Since Tim and Dan Heath do work together many times, they are probably on the album. 1
StealingTheMoonlight Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 A recent song he produced! I love the sound. Imagine if Lana went right back to the 50s/60s and made an oldies sounding album. I would die if she made an oldies sounding album. I would love some Queen of Disaster-sounding songs, but that probably won't happen. A girl can dream...
YUNGATA Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Petition for me to design the album cover and not Naomi Shon idk man can you use apostrophes? 2
ilovetati Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 So, the rumors about a new version of Velvet Crowbar seem to be maintaing traction, interestingly. I hope they turn out to be true. 2
Rebel Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 idk man can you use apostrophes? Ultraviolenc'e 5
