HEARTCORE 18,971 Posted June 10, 2014 I feel that Lana is doing this album a lot more for her fans and the music itself than sales. Plus, good sales ≠ good quality. She could sell 1 copy of the album and it could still be a masterpiece. It's quality, not quantity, that truly matters.

Good marketing = Huge sales Good marketing + good album = Huge sales and acclaim. (Awards, the Grammys, etc the world take notice) Bad marketing + good album = acclaim from fans circle and nothing else (no awards and no one curr outside of her fans)

Rem 2,392 Posted June 10, 2014 I cringe every time some Stan go "you guys shouldn't care about the charts" etc like bitch sit. I also hated when Stans on twitter got mad and don't want the album to leak. Shhhhh Just because I want Lana to be successful I don't "care" about the music lmao. I love the music that's why I want it to do good. It feels good to know something you like its doing good on the charts. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Most of my friends don't like Lana but I don't care since it's me who wants to listen to her music. I choose what I want to listen to. I don't get why you're so sales driven. Weird.
HONEYMOON 431 Posted June 10, 2014 Frankly, I'm still bitter the physical edition of the album doesn't include ITH and Flipside. If it was only one track I'd be fine, but two?
naachoboy 7,993 Posted June 10, 2014 Awards (like Grammys and shit) give artists some validation with the GP mostly because they are televised lol but now those awards are really about commercial success
liam 560 Posted June 10, 2014 Okay, where are the promos? Is their strategy is to not promote the album? Or? There have not been a single TV performance for West Coast or TV promo for the album wtf? Lol There's Ultraviolence adverts currently being shown on UK tv!

Rem 2,392 Posted June 10, 2014 Awards (like Grammys and shit) give artists some validation with the GP mostly because they are televised lol but now those awards are really about commercial success No only a certain group of artists have Grammys. I don't take them that seriously, but the truth is the GP took them very seriously. Not all successful artists have Grammys. If you suck, you're not going to get a Grammy. Many flops have Grammys too as long as the Grammy committee favors them. Also, just because your album is acclaimed on some blog like rolling stone or pitchfork.,.... Doesn't mean you're going to get a Grammy. They are very much political for sure. They have to favor you.
