GodBlessMe Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Better than expected from Slant tho 0 Quote I AM MY ONLY GOD
CatchTheBreeze Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I'm curious if we get at least one 100 review. Without some 90's and 100's the final score will surely be in the mid to low 70's range. 0 Quote
Valentino Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I am salty that certain artists seem to get inflated scores based mostly on their reputation while Lana has the opposite problem. Some artists can deliver a decent album and end up with rave reviews, while Lana keeps moving forward while keeping her unique voice and gets ripped for BTD again. I feel her music is rarely actually on review. Are the songs good or not, I couldn't care less if they're ~authentic~ or not. /salt If this doesn't surpass HM.... 4 Quote
ilovetati Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 Metacritic needs to add: Sputnik - 80 Observer - 80 Slant - 70 0 Quote

Yes, I mean I just listened to Lorde's new album again and while it's really nice I don't understand how on earth this album can get a 91 metascore? (a 65–70 would be okay with me...) 0 Quote
viagra Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 75 from AV Club http://www.avclub.com/review/lust-life-lana-del-rey-envisions-slightly-brighter-258493 On average, this publication grades2 points higher than other publications. That means it could bring her score down a bit In comparison with Honeymoon - LFL: NYT 80 - 80 The Independent 80 -80 The Guardian 80 - 80 The Telegraph 80-80 DIY 80 -80 Observer 80-80 Sputnik x - 80 AV Club x - 75 Slant 60 - 70 0 Quote
viagra Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 For some reasons, some reviews from SowingSeason staff member on Sputnikmusic were not added in metacritics - so you better spam metacritics staff if its not added in a week. 0 Quote
SilverSprings Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 75 from AV Club I am stunned she got even as high that from AV Club considering they dragged BTD and UV to FILTH with clearly biased reviewers and didn't even bother to review Honeymoon 1 Quote 'So I try to say goodbye my friend // I'd like to leave you with something warm // But never have I been a blue calm sea // I have always been a storm'

ilovetati Posted July 24, 2017 Author Posted July 24, 2017 Updated with everything but AV Club and still sits at 83! We really need Pitchfork to give her BNM and a couple of 100 scored for the album to stay in the "universal acclaim" range 1 Quote
viagra Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Anna Garca (who Lana sent to go fk herseld) from Spin reviewed the album http://www.spin.com/2017/07/lana-del-rey-lust-for-life-review/ Score not revealed yet 1 Quote
ilovetati Posted July 24, 2017 Author Posted July 24, 2017 Y'all should email Metacritic and say that her review shouldn't count due to obvious bias and link to her articles on the "fk you" debacle 0 Quote
viagra Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Y'all should email Metacritic and say that her review shouldn't count due to obvious bias and link to her articles on the "fk you" debacle Lets see her score first, it could be 70 - 80. Some reviews were quite harsh like GooglePlay but they still gave her 4/5. 0 Quote

I don't think Spin gives scores anymore? I think MC will interpret it as a 70. Edit: Well, the title calls it "warm and engaging," so maybe it is an 80. 0 Quote
latothemoon Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Still waiting for those Billboard and Pitchfork reviews. Also Metacritic really needs to update the score lol. 0 Quote
