ultrablvd Posted February 18 Posted February 18 candy necklace tbh. i then grew to love it same with ultraviolence (album). i used to be indifferent about it and think it was boring but as my frontal lobe developed i realised it was the best work of art ever created 9 Quote resident sweeter 24/7/17 - 9/7/23 - 10/7/23

Embach Posted February 18 Posted February 18 when architecture/best american record leaked in 2017 i did not understand the love for the song at all, i was like it's so long and boring ughh but now i have been obsessed with the song for 2 years. when the nfr version was released i really really liked it but i didn't really listen to it often. youtube recommended me randomly the demo version one day and i wanted to recall how it sounded like and fell in love. i remember when everyone called ultraviolence her best album and when i listened to it for the first time i thought it was too slow and tiresome (EXCEPT for west coast) and i did not understand the hype at all until a year after i fell in love with it although it didn't really click with me until 2019. that's when i truly became obsessed with the album and it didn't feel slow and tiresome at all. it really is one of her best works. 6 Quote
bluechemtrails Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Expectations for Lana releases are always high, but I've never experienced any real disappointments (since 2021). And with leaks, you never know what quality the song has, whether it's still at demo stage or absolutely ready for a release. If you don't like the song, it's usually because the song is not finished and there's something wrong with the production. So no, I can't really remember any disappointment. 3 Quote

shadesofblue Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I didn’t hate it when it was released, but COTCC the album. It just didn’t click for me until about 2 years ago and now I’ve grown to love it 4 Quote ♡︎

jaesana Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I remember being on tumblr and I have a vivid memory of UV snippets being released and I didn’t like Brooklyn baby and a couple others? Literally within a week of the album dropping I became obsessed with all the songs lmao so I never trust my first instinct on a song i desperately wish I could go back and look at those old tumblr threads to see what people had said edit: not me going into the pre-release thread to see if i can find them omg 1 Quote
Lindsay Lohan Posted February 18 Posted February 18 The trio of singles: Blue Banisters / Text Book / Wildflower I listened to them a total of one time each and never again till the album was released... Genuinely thought they were the worst songs of her career. I still think Text Book is a god awful song. BB is just okay. Wildflower is the best out of the trio but the verses are still not it to me... Long story short BB is the worst album ever made 5 hours ago, White Hot 4Ever said: My answer: Jada by Ari Pop excellence... instantly gagged when I heard it 6 Quote
