Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium Series)

Plenty people have either heard about or have seen the American verison of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo that came out last year. I saw it on Christmas. After I saw the movie (and Rooney Mara playing Lisbeth Salander) I was completely captivated and ever since have been trying to read my way through the 3 book Millennium series. I started off with Girl with the Dragon Tattoo of course I already saw the movie and it really did it justice although they forgot to add a couple things. I finished the second book also with was Girl who played with fire and now I'm on the final book The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest. OMFJCHG. I fell in love with Lisbeth Salander as my favorite female fictional character. She's so badass and she has a shirt that says F*ck you you F*cking F*ck which I want but anyways got sidetracked.

 

ANYONE KNOW THE BOOK SERIES? NEVER SAW THE MOVIE? OR READ THE BOOK?

I really loved this movie, but some have told me that's because I haven't read the book. So you like both? Interesting. I own them, just haven't dove in yet.

 

Can't wait for the second movie, though, Lisbeth is a really great character.

Laura You've really became my best friend. Ahhhh I love the books! My ultimate favorite series. Lisbeth is my hero. I really like the US version of the movie. I really think Rooney Mara nailed it as Lisbeth. Hated how they changed some things too. I'm so happy I didn't even read your whole post

Yes, I like both. If you ever read lovely bones and have seen the movie also the movie is COMPLETELY different than the book. It leaves a lot of significant points out. But with Girl with the dragon tattoo the movie completely does it justice. I love the movie so much and the book. The second and third books are what really captivates you! Start reading them trust me you wont regret it.

IT IS OFFICIAL THEN! WE ARE BESTFRIENDS! Lol I'm so glad someone loves the book series as much as me. Rooney really did play Lisbeth really well. I haven't seen the Swedish versions of the movie but I've seen gifs and pics of the swedish actor who played lisbeth. Didn't like it as much. Have you read all of them? Which one was your favorite? OMG if you finished the 3rd book don't tell me what happens to Micke and Lisbeth I'm up to the part like when her father gets shot and junk. I'm so excited!

I thought the Swedish versions executed the storyline but the actor didn't have that Lisbeth feel..Haha Yeah I read them all and I want to say the 3rd book is my favorite. It really showed who she really is and her hacking is more live then ever! DON'T WORRY! As much as I want to, I won't we will talk about that when youre done. We can both agree that we hate Zala! Ahhhh that part made me worry so much for Lisbeth. I think at that point, her story will unravel. Im excited for you! Makes me want to re-read the series again.

Yeah, I've seen the actress for lisbeth in swedish and was like -_- that's not like LIsbeth at ALL! But I'm reading the hornets nest and I feel like I dont want to finish it because of the fact that there wont be any more books. Because you know Stieg Larsson died and its just like why. I can't wait till the movies come out though. Urghh I saw like posters and everything for them.
