  1. I would say that the drama on this thread was the most interesting thing this era yet. I wasn't aware that the Mariah stan was banned. What was his guilt? That he believed that Lana could be half the performer that Mariah was? He was harmless most of the time but he was always attacked by the pretentious forumers. @@leaked_version is a huge Lana stan. He is the staple of the little Lana fanbase on atrl. I use these forums for info about Lana and I identified him quickly. He behaves quite the opposite on atrl. There he is well behaved, thoughtful, always trying to maintain that fickle Lana base. If I were in her management I would reward people like him with free gifts tbh. To ban a guy with more than 3000 posts is just not good policy in my opinion. He behaves differently on atrl because there you get easily a temporary ban, you cool your head and when you come back you'll measure your words.

About the snobbery towards the so called "new" fans. Anyone on this forum should be happy that there are new fans who want to join because her career is in free falling and she needs everybody on board this era who's interested. We have different opinions and appreciate different things about Lana and that is the main attraction in a forum. The only thing that should be banned are unacceptable personal attacks.

I can't speak for other newbies but I have been a lana stan since early 2012 I just never got lanaboards because I had tumblr and everyone on tumblr hates lanaboards because there are so many horrible people on here. The only reason I finally got an account on here was because I don't use tumblr anymore and I needed a place where all the new lana news was all together. I'm glad leaked version got banned because they were consistently personally attacking people. Just because he didn't get a warning about a ban every time doesn't mean it's fine for him to continue personally attacking people. He's not a child he knows right from wrong. Shouldn't need a temporary ban every time to teach him.

  3. it seemed to me lana just said the lyric from where the song gets it's title in that interview. i don't think it's called beautiful people beautiful problems....

I'm sure she said in KROQ interview that it was called BPBP but I might be mistaken I'm slightly tipsy at a bbq rn haha

got to get my lb fix while having a wee lol

  4. i'm not asking for any kind of link to it but:

did we ever get Architecture/Best American Record in higher quality than what had first leaked? the bitrate on it is so low...

Yeah we did! I'm surprised so many people don't know about it. I just found it on a YouTube video last month and it doesn't sound like a demo at all in hq. I don't know how to share my mp3 rip of the video though and the video has been removed ):

  5. This interview was yesterday though ;) . Let Marina go.

Stevie would have been the first woman to feature on the album so Lana saying she felt like she needed a woman on it would still be true even if she had since added 10 women. I don't care if we have a Marina collab or not but it would still be very possible. That interview doesn't rule out anything she just says Stevie was the first woman added because she felt she needed one.

  6. For those going on about Marina

Another anticipated collaboration is her track with legendary Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, who went to high school with her producer, Rick Nowels.

"I felt like I really wanted a woman on the record. We called her [stevie Nicks] and she agreed.

A WOMAN So Stevie is probably the only FEMALE on the album.

She said that at KROQ too and I think that was about the original album. Now she has extra collabs people are worried Marina will be one of the extras since they met up so recently (:

  7. Will this album be her "Blonde On Blonde"/"The White Album"/"Don Juan's Reckless Daughter"/"Approximately Infinite Universe"/"All Things Must Pass" or will it be a mess filled with unnecessary filler tracks? Only time will tell.

All Things Must Pass is my favourite album after Ultraviolence! (:

(Also I would be in heaven if she ever did a FJM collab I just think it would be amazing)

  8. I'm so glad I've missed the last few pages ): I hope the unpleasantness will go away now. We can all enjoy Lana's performance today and look forward to the French radio one (: it's not the end of the world everyone she is gonna serve us some amazing songs and we will all be having the best time bopping to them on July 21st xxx

  9. It honestly makes me sick when I see the way LDR fans talk about her and their dissatisfaction with the album's rollout. Yes, have an opinion, by all means, but to be so entitled is disgusting. We're so used to instant gratification nowadays that an artist can't even take their time. If LFL coming out in July is your biggest concern in life at the moment, you should consider yourself blessed.

lol so sick of comments like this... I am perfectly happy waiting until july and until then speculating and expressing my opinions on the album rollout. It's not my whole life... but on this forum it's obviously all we talk about. Most of it is tongue in cheek anyway. I personally find this forum a really lighthearted break away from real life and find the 'meltdowns' funny. Don't take things so serious x

(I don't like the way people harass lana and her team on social media but on here what's the harm in joking and chatting about it)

  10. Or it just means she wants to refine/add more. There's nothing wrong with that. And it's not just collabs the album was pushed back for, and we'll never truly know (bar what's already confirmed) what it was pushed back for. Could have been pushed back for songs like Cherry.

She's clearly bothered if she would put off the entire collection for the sake of refinement.

But she doesn't even know what the collabs will sound like? I am surprised she has given us a release date at all if she's still recording songs for it idk it doesn't seem like someone who cares a lot about the tracklist and how it all fits together. That's the kind of stuff you want to be sure of and finished with before you start promoting it and doing album trailers... idk I can see the date being pushed back again if she really is making more collabs

  11. She obviously has a very clear direction for the album.

In reality, fans are just too precious about Lana's legacy.

I've said it a billion times in this thread:

This kind of stuff doesn't cheapen her. It means she's looking for more artistic vision, input and sound for the new album.

All legendary artists collaborate at some point. A persons legacy doesn't need to solely be their own work. We've not even heard any of the collabs (bar weeknd) and we're already judging that the album has "no direction"? Really?

Most artists you know collaborate at some point. Just because she has a lot of collaborations doesn't mean it's a bad album, the best way to explain this is super groups. Super groups obviously feature a range of different collaborations by iconic artists, but they rarely fail.

John Paul Jones, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme = Them Crooked Vultures

Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker = Cream

Chris Cornell + Pearl Jam = Temple of the Dogs

Alex Turner, Miles Kane, James Ford = The Last Shadow Puppets

Even Abba were a super group. So guess what? Lots of contrasting artist input to one album doesn't make it a bad album. I wish people would just hold out and, you know, listen to the music?

I agree that people need to chill and wait to actually hear the album before making too many judgements... But I think the fact that the release date has been pushed back for yet more collabs when we already have quite a few suggests lana doesn't really have a definite direction for it.

Like why not wait til after the album to record those collabs and release as an EP or something? Pushing back the date for collabs that aren't even made yet seems like she's not too bothered about the overall sound/direction of the album
