  1. The good thing about Lana sitting next to Taylor is that the cameras love to show Taylor every single chance they get…so Lana should get some decent screen time!
  2. WOW - one of her best looks for sure. I’m not even sure what part is my favourite because everything is on point. Also so sentimental how this look references her Brits look 12 years ago. VW 🖤
  3. I hope her outfit from when she announced Lasso is an indication of her fashion for this week…🖤 I’m living for the classic silhouettes. And the bows!
  4. When I think of Lana’s take on outlaw, I imagine something slow and ominous like God Knows I Tried or Nancy Sinatra’s Bang Bang -
  5. Lana sitting close to the front at the Grammys…so she can easily walk up onstage to get her award(s)!
  6. Yes, specifically the covers album, as she talked about this idea right after saying “the covers album is still in existence”. It is still a bit convoluted like you say, though, so time will tell indeed lol. BUT I think everything you’re inferring is the case, at least from my same observations and interpretation of what information we have. Thanks for piecing this all together because it definitely helps sort the projects and clarifies what kind of songs will be on Lasso!
  7. I think this is right. In that same Blue Banisters livestream she talked about maybe doing something called “Country and Western” which would have been “country plus Cali” in her words — to me, this suggests she was going to combine literally all of the covers into one album (Pacific Blue / other folk songs / country covers). I’m thinking Lasso is a collection of *original* country songs written with Jack Antonoff, Nikki Lane, and Luke Laird — with the one customary cover (akin to Paradise, Ultraviolence, Honeymoon, NFR, and Chemtrails), and I think that cover is Stand By Your Man.
  8. Tbh I believe her about September. The release of Ocean Blvd was relatively organized with no false release dates, and she’s said this year that her inclination is more towards simpler songs, now having worked out the complex subject matter of the last record. I imagine the whole process has been pretty fast and easy in terms of writing post-Ocean Blvd. Plus, the way she talked about it last night seems like this has been an ongoing side project for the last few years that finally made sense to polish into a real record and release now.
  9. Also manifesting horses everywhere, please 🐎
  10. YES. Lana has been flirting with country since the very beginning, it was about time that she leaned all the way into it. I love that there seems to be a strong stylistic emphasis so far (hence, a title as on the nose as Lasso) because when Lana consciously gets into a genre, she undoubtedly makes it her own.
  11. Not being shady but I didn’t know who Boygenius was until the nominations got posted…Lana is in her bag

    Nicki Minaj

I can’t believe this song is real. The ending is like…
  13. When I saw she was covering Blue Skies, my immediate thought was that she slowed it down and made it very dark and dramatic…like Candy Necklace or her cover of Once Upon a Dream. I hope I’m right.

    Nicki Minaj

This is actually untrue. Nicki and her husband went to high school together. Regardless, it’s fallible and reductive to call Lana “the queen of underage relationships” and to liken the subject matter of her very nuanced songs to Nicki’s personal life and association with certain men. They’re very different things.

Minaj. u coulda been the greatest female rapper alive but u blew it. dont take it out on the only person who had ur back. Psychotic beef, but entertaining - I’ll give it that. And tbh nothing new from Nicki.
  16. Born to Die singlehandedly changed my life - and that’s not an exaggeration, I really mean that. It’s unfathomable that one album could be a gateway to so many beautiful things in life…🌹
  17. This was Lana’s year, so she’s definitely going home with most, if not all, of the categories she’s nominated in. Although - I think SZA will be favoured for some awards, and as much as I don’t think Taylor Swift has made any great music recently, she is at her peak in terms of exposure, so I’m sure she’ll walk away with something. Either way, I’m not sensing a zero sum game. I definitely think she’s winning a couple - and I’m excited to see the look!
  18. Aw lol thanks queen! Every thread you make is always a dream fulfilled <3
  19. Omfg If anything, this just proves how chronically online I have been with regards to Lana. Don't know whether to feel proud or insane... September 19, 2018. Ban me from this thread, I swear to God.
  20. I'm gonna guess where they're from too. From left to right - March 2018 (Oscars afterparty?), July 2017 (That Fourth of July party where everybody wore all white), July 2017 (The Jesse Jo Stark Galore Magazine party?), May 2016 (Leaving the Rihanna concert in Jonathan Wilson's car?)
  21. 1. 2013 2. 2013 3. 2014 4. 2018 5. 2017 6. 2017 7. 2017 8. 2017 9. 2017 10. 2016 11. 2016 12. 2011
  22. I’ve thought about this all day. And it’s the way she’s always so casual about the magnificence she brings to these things!
  23. I loved the snippet…I’m here for a country moment. It reminded me of some of the more acoustic songs from 2013 like Chelsea Hotel and Nectar of the Gods 🎀
  24. I have been raised from the dead. Every photograph is amazing. Starting the year off right just like we did last year on Valentine’s Day! ❣️2024 will be her year
  25. Like everyone is saying, A&W, hands down. The Grants, Candy Necklace, Kintsugi, and Peppers come super close for me, though. As for unreleased, Pink Champagne takes the cake. But Madly is right up there too. 2023 was really such a great year to be a fan.
