Cherry Bomb

Hey I'm Kalina and I'm 17. I started to stan Lana back in in 2012 in the Born To Die days. My favorite songs from her are "High By The Beach" and "Video Games". I just love Lana because she is just so real. Her lyrics are real to life and she don't sugar coat anything. Other musical artists I like are Halsey, Marina and the Diamonds, Kat Dahlia, Lorde, and Kesha just to name a few of them. I also like hanging with my friends and going to the Mountains is where I get my peace.

With a few months left in my Junior Year of High School last year my older sister and I got the worst phone call anyone could ever imagine. My sister picked up the phone and it was a hospital telling us to get to the hospital ASAP as my parents were in a terrible auto accident. We didn't make it there in time before they both passed. My sister who was 21 at the time all of the sudden changed into this adult. The pressure that was put on her must has been horrible, but somehow she handled it. She wanted to keep us together but me being a kid still just turning 17 at the time the State was pushing her to either have me go with my Grandparents or a Foster Home until I was 18. My Grandparents weren't really an option as they both lived a distance away and the ones that lived remotely close my Pop Pop was ill and we weren't doing that to my Nana. So my sister fought that she was going to be a fit adult to take care of me only being 4 years older than me. And that is what she did. It hasn't been easy as she had to get a job during the day and quit college and take classes at night online now and now as I am about to go into my Senior year of High School she has all of that to deal with as well. You would think having a 21 year old sister as your parent would be awesome and sometimes it is, but it is also difficult. So that is my life in a nutshell right now.
