  1. Made the trip to Coachella just for Lana and back to LA all in one day, so I'm just now waking up but wow… :crai:

I haven't seen Lana since the NFR tour in 2019 and while the set hasn't changed much in structure, it was still such a new feeling to see her last night. There is a new energy to her- she is so much lighter, she has learned a lot about herself in the past few years I think. It was fun to watch her riff on stage and enjoy playing music with her friends, and on top of that she looked beautiful and was serving that gorgeous dark aesthetic.

I was close to the front and to hear everyone singing Arcadia and Tunnel made me so emotional - and you could tell it made her feel so seen and loved. I don't know how to explain it but she just seems so much more at peace since the last time I saw her.

The show just felt so personal, something that only Lana can pull off on such a large stage like Coachella. I have so much more to say but I am exhausted and brainrotted - just wanted to share how lovely it was to see Lana last night.

I know people also weren't happy with the Camila guest spot, but Lana was having a blast, plus it was a super fun dance moment not gonna lie. Overall just such a great night and I can't thank Lana enough for everything. Seeing her at Coachella was a dream of mine for so many years and I'm so happy that I got to see it through.

reading the thread on atrl someone said that spring breakers gets identified as "Get into it" but not under charli xcx inc., it's registered under atlantic records so she wasn't lying when she said it wont be on the album :toofunny:

If it's registered under Atlantic that's actually a sign that we may get it. Von dutch and the remix were both released under Atlantic, as all the related album activity will be.

wait why is she leaking marketing ideas instead of doing them :wtf2:

She did this with HIFN too! The "leaked" document that had the key.

i’m here for this tbh! the moodboard is cute. country doesn’t have to mean breaking up slowly pt 2, lana could do better than that. she could go for a 50s-70s themed dreamy americana sound, kinda like fleetwood mac or nancy sinatra. she could also continue with the darkness of ocean blvd and make something similar to raise me up. i see the vision. it would be as if the 2nd half of lust for life & aka lizzy grant had a baby

This exactly! I have always wanted this both visually and sound wise from Lana and I think that would be the perfect way for her to execute it. I hope that we see a heavy folk influence from her again, I love when she taps into that. I would be here for a full-on album inspired by Nancy Sinatra, Patsy Cline, '70s Dolly, Tammy Wynette and fused with The Carpenters and some early Fleetwood Mac. Would even be cool to see her do some kind of psychedelic, folk-country mix. Put on your boots and give it to us, Lana. :defeated:

  6. Disagree with a lot of what's being said in here. I was certain they wouldn't nominate NFR for AOTY because of the title and then it ended up getting AOTY and SOTY noms. I know it's a different scenario with the "this is the experience of being an American Whore" refrain, but A&W got a pretty warm reception from critics and casual listeners, not too far off from how NFR was received. Jack's video of "behind the song" shows that they're campaigning for sure, and I think that A&W is the choice to get Lana her Grammy if that's what they're going for. It's so Lana but it's also so different from anything she had done prior to its release. Her music is incredible and has been nominated several times before, but I think that what leveraged a win was something unexpected or exciting like A&W.

No doubt that they need to push her in Alternative finally, but at the end of the day I believe it comes down to the Grammy committee to decide where an artist is placed, which sucks. I don't see them placing Ocean Blvd in Pop, but then again I said the same for NFR and well. :toofunny:

Long story short, I think Ocean Blvd has the one thing that I can maybe think of that pulled NFR back from a sweep that year, which is that little twist some of these songs have. Depending on what else gets nommed for AOTY, I think she actually has a huge shot there and even in SOTY. Would be really cool to see her get two noms in AOTY with Ocean Blvd and Midnights, which is no doubt going to get a place in the AOTY category.

Also worth noting: the huge renaissance Lana is having, if we can call it that? She never went away per se, but the general public is loving and supporting her in a way we haven't seen since the Born to Die era. As we've seen before, the Grammys love to reward the artists their viewers are enjoying. Kacey following 2018, Billie following 2019, Olivia following 2021, Harry following 2022... I think she has a pretty good chance this year.
