I haven’t seen anyone mention this but Charli addressed the Ava Max comments and clarified that Ava declined because she was in a relationship at the time and didn’t connect with the subject matter of the song.

I just learned there is a subreddit dedicated to posting updates from the account her latest story 3 days ago talks about how she’s just recording in the studio atm but the end of it was interesting with her talking about covering new subject matter in her songs and being very inspired even tho there’s no album I’m hopeful this can turn into a mixtape/spontaneous release eventually (and hopefully soon)
