  1. all her lines were cut lmao the sucker era was so weird all she ever wore was slip dresses and looked bored constantly.

she also talked about tampons incessantly for some reason

    "I think periods are punk"

  2. I never stopped  :hooker:  I lowkey loathe it and IDK why...that and Gold Coins were just so boring...and everyone came after all the better sounding songs on Sucker  :crossed:

don't come for gold coins sweetie

    tumblr_nfk7m2TZBB1r8dv0ao1_400.gif

gold coins is easily on of the most fun songs to sing along to

    Gold coins everywhere,

    dollars up in the air

    its a billionaire's love affair

    Gold coins out the window

money pours like the rain falls

and Imma spend it like I don't care

  3. I usually see people throw Can You Hear Me under the bus for being filler when the exchange songs exist but I swear...it's so fucking good  :deadbanana:  I'm fragile af lately and every time I hear songs like this that make me think of a special someone I just lose it  :defeated: just don't give her too much hate ladies

CYHM then TOIDF/Die4 right after has me in tears rn

I cried when I listened to Die 4 for the first time. Same with Lucky. I think if you like those songs it's cuz you empathize with the lyrics and it makes you think of someone/ a relationship

The other songs on XCX3 are BOPS tho

  4. Oh fuck that. One of the worst songs on the mixtape and it might be getting a vid. :/ Femmebot, Delicious, Porsche, Unlock It.... so many better options

Besides having cool hair, Alma literally offers nothing

    giphy.gif

We need a Femmebot video ft SOPHIA

  5. Ugh I read her interview and she said there will be an album she just doesn't know what format e.g.10 songs with 2 singles,a visual album or several eps.she also mentioned that the reason she's doing so many features is because she wants to fade into the background eventually she sounded postive but it worded really depressingly

I truly think Charli has some type of mood disorder (even just like extreme anxiety). She's very 'Up N Down', especially in regard to being a pop star. She even says some days she's down to play the game, and some days she just wants to be a songwriter.

Some days you can tell she's extremely uncomfortable and wants to crawl out of her skin and hide. Especially during most interviews where she almost comes off as rude...

Even though I'm sure she partially hates us for leaking and ripping xcx3, she really shines when she's performing for her fans. Her energy/ confidence/ happiness at the Number 1 Angel shows was a Charli we rarely see (especially when she's stuck opening for trash Halsey and Trailer Swift fans who only know Boom Clap)

I'm glad she finally feels some relief in the new direction she is heading in with her music. She tired SO hard to be cool with the image and sound of True Romance, and got a lot of critical acclaim but literally no success. She had success with Boom Clap, I Love it and fancy and released Sucker with a sound/ image garnered at the GP, and it didn't work and she was miserable. Now with PC music and her new team, she seems to finally be herself.

Also btw can we all just agree her number 1 Angel shoot is her iconic shoot I never thought she had one before but this is it I found it weird that she never had any photoshoots that truly struck me until now.

Vroom Vroom, N1A, and Pop2 all have outstanding photo shoots. With AG as her creative director, she's finally began pushing great visuals.

Vroom Vroom remains her best music video

  6. well that sucks for her? i guess?

i am not here for people not @ing me :oprah3:

Girls Night Out?! Girls Night Out, sweetie, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry that an ugly ass bitch like this would even say that, oh my god.  :pls:

  7. in all honesty there are some ACTUAL fillers on XCX3 im very reluctant to listen to

like Queen Lizzy, Girls Night Out, and  Good Girls

she literally wanted GNO to be the next single

  8. 10 steps, 10 keys,

    Swimming pools going really deep

    LA, AG (AG!)

    Studio with the real beats

    So raw, sushi

    Crash your daddy's Lamborghini

    Charli, baby

Pull up pull up to the party

Lorde whom????? What is a melodrama?

  9. Okay every other page I see someone praising the scream in Tears, but y'all know that's Caroline Polachek right? J checking giphy.gif

I really wish there was footage of her recording these screams

mykki litearlly ruined femmebot like his rap is so bad and sounds bad ...it litearlly sounds like when on drag race they have to come up with a rap for the challenge it’s that bad

Cupcakke should have been on this track but I don't think the Mykki verse is THAT bad

Really dumb question: is TKO really under 2 minutes? Or do we not have the full version?

It's only two minutes. I read somewhere that Charli wanting a feature on the track but I think tko is scrapped for good

  10. let's take a moment to appreciate the universe

if charli never cancelled her tour in 2015 and instead had a super happy album run with sucker, she almost definitely would have gone on to collaborate with jack antonoff on xcx3, she was in the perfect spot to do it and probably make an 80s-inspired super-commercial pop release, the album would probably have come out in 2016 so it wouldve predated the saturation of jack antonoff we have in 2017 but it would probably still be his typical stadium-pop stuff

but instead she started hating sucker, started getting mad obsessed w/ sophie & pc music and after cancelling her tour went overseas to make the vroom vroom ep

now we've got gamechanging pc post-pop charli. nice.

and we have jack antonoff making the same album for Lorde and Trailer Swift  :deadbanana:

  11. this mixtape is so weird like i genuinely really did not like it yesterday and i've been replaying delicious on repeat for the past 2 hours today

I'm pretty sure when she says 'x-x-c-x ch-charli' and 'its Charli baby' it has some form of brain washing affect

  12. Sucker is such a cohesive album. And the songwriting is good. It beat out 1989 on Rolling stone's best pop albums of 2014 and was critically well received.

It's just the production/ image Charli/ Atlantic was going for that we don't fuck with.

  13. another positive review for Pop2 (4/5 stars)... we love a critically acclaimed skinny legend

Britain specialises in backwards-looking pop music, the chart equivalent of the heritage industry. Amid the horde of retro-soul warblers and acoustic guitar-strummers — adorning national life like a tastefully modernised café in a National Trust property — Charli XCX stands out as a paragon of progressiveness.

Pop 2 is the second mixtape that the Hertfordshire-raised singer, real name Charlotte Aitchison, has released this year. It reunites her with the producer AG Cook of PC Music, an underground record label with a surrealist pop aesthetic. Charli’s voice is distorted into a computerised slur or cut-up into a sequence of samples, beats stutter and skip like a rogue computer hard drive, basslines boom, odd sounds ring out.

The style can be excessively arch. “Femmebot” sounds like Britney Spears’ robo-pop suffering a technological breakdown: the background smirk is unmistakable. But on the majority of the tracks Charli and her producer Cook deploy their meta-pop tactics with a skilful sense of dramatic engagement.

“Tears” brings to life a person’s ambivalent feelings for an ex-lover with fusillades of glitchy percussion alongside a deeper, more certain beat. “Lucky” calms the manic PC Music style into a futuristic hymnal with fluting processed vocals. “Out of My Head” illustrates lyrics about obsessive emotional attachment with an earworm array of hooks.

A large cast of guest singers and rappers appears, from chart-pop names (Carly Rae Jepsen, Tove Lo) to underground rappers (Cupcakke, Tommy Cash). Their contributions are well arranged, supporting rather than overwhelming Charli’s central turn. Meanwhile, she inhabits the challenging musical terrain fully, switching tempo and tone seamlessly. Her mixtape makes the past sound like a foreign country.

  14. What a useless interview

literally the only topic that gets Charli aggressive/ salty is xcx3 lmao

she'd probably rather be asked about anal sex than xcx3

  15. hi hunties here is my pop2 power ranking for the day

    1. Porsche - Should be sent to radio. But Atlantic didn't send 3AM to radio either cuz they're hoes

    2. Track 10

    3. Femmebot - I like Mykki's verse too suck it haters

    4. Unlock It

    5. Lucky - Not as good as Britney's but it made me cry

    6. Delicious - I really like it, and I don't even mind Tommy's thick Estonian accent lmao

    7. Backseat - It's a good song I'm just jaded its not better ft. Carly

    8. Tears - I can't tell if I like or hate the screams

    9. Out of My Head - Sorry Alma, you're voice is annoying asf. She should just be a DJ Khaled hype woman with her cool hair and shut up.

    10. I Got It - I know Charli loves it and wanted to create a LGBT powerhouse bop but like she could have put more effort in the chorus idk

I love that Charli collaborated with so many women and LBGTQ+ Musicians and doesn't rent homophobic, black rappers to try and get a hit (Katy, if you're reading this I am talking to you bitch)

  16. I hope she'll rework a bit some of the leaked songs for XCX3 and release them. :defeated:

hopefully she isn't petty and deletes No Angel off her hard drive to punish us fags  :defeated:
