When I think of “dark pop” for Charli, it just sounds to me like more Vroom Vroom/Trophy/Gone/Pink Diamond type stuff… all varying degrees of it of course… but the whole like, “cyber-demon” vibe… …which, can you ever get enough of that?? Nope! Terminator/industrial aesthetics…

She really said “I want it all even if it’s fake…”

I can’t think of a reason to doubt Charles tho…..

The “Charli” album is holding up insanely well… it’s so good. I still get so many of the songs stuck in my head, on any random given day… Click is still bonkers asffff!!!

Boost it a few bpm and I will scream!

All I can really say about it is IF this is how the label is going to push her… like if that’s the only way they’ll do it, her recording a bunch of “industry tracks” or whatever you want to call them… I’d say she’s earned it. Home girl just spent the last few years putting together and writing an insane discography up to this point… huge songs, albums/mixtapes making AOTY lists, racking up tons of respect from the online music community… and if that all still isn’t “good enough” for the label, if she wants to “sell out” as she’s put it… again, I’d say she’s earned it. Charli has MORE than proven herself…

Some good stuff, some not as good, sure… but I think it also brought Bieber’s best era, quite a few memorable Diplo-produced hits, of course Major Lazer/Jack Ü, some solid DJ Snake tunes, DJ Mustard, among others… I just think of life, like idk ~4-5 years ago, going downtown on weekends, with all this type of stuff being played everywhere… Good times.
