A.G. rivals SOPHIE for me, so this is great to know.

One of my favorite bands... Their use of electronics and the emotion and energy in their music and the way it all blends together is incredible. Some of their songs really give you that feeling where it's like they're "taking you somewhere else" and for me personally, really strike a deep chord... in a way where I would say that they've probably made some of my all-time favorite music. Last I heard from them, they were rebuilding the band after a couple of original backing members left... so hopefully they have something in the works now. A couple of favorites from their previous album...

Florida. It's honestly an awful state for concerts in general lol, so I'm not really surprised.

Remember when Hanging Around featured Rivers Cuomo and it didn’t even really feel like a feature? Maybe some of the features are more like that... Also the Doing It feat. Rita wasn’t detracting too much from Charli’s presense either. Idk... it’s tough because I really just like Charli for Charli but she does features well too. Features are also a good mechanism to generate buzz and boost streams so if can feel fabricated too, and I hope it just really doesn’t feel that way. It feels like the label is kinda trying to dictate what Charli is, and I hope that doesn’t come across in the music. The important thing is that Charli feels good about it though I guess.

I’m just gonna be grateful for whatever our PC Music, cyberpunk pop queen of the future releases for us...

Ahh I have a feeling that Charles is really coming for us this time! Also, does anyone get the feeling that she’s been really working at this album for a long time? Obviously she kinda has, with the OG XCX3 draft and stuff, but she makes it sound like she’s kinda just whipped an album together in the last couple of months. I feel like she’s really been working on these songs and the tracklisting for a while and that we’re in for something really good, idk why... I mean BIOYL is practically proof of that... it’s an older track and it wasn’t even on the initial draft so, yeah. Maybe she’s really put a lot of prolonged effort into this thing. Who knows?

If I’m being honest I liked some of the XCX World stuff quite a bit, but a lot of it really suffered from “demoitis” IMO... I think this album will surpass it. If Gone is a good indicator for the quality, we’re in for a really nice era! I mean, there’s not too much of a reason to doubt her with the consistency of her work, and mixtapes especially. BIOYL was a song we’ve all been aware of for forever now, it’s only natural that it didn’t bring a ton of new hype and excitement. In more ways than one really. It was new, but it wasn’t... and there’s still a lot of unheard stuff coming.
