Does anyone else think Gone fits PERFECTLY after NLC? Like I have no idea why its just so perfect in my opinion.

The only thing that I can't wrap my head around w this album is how none of it fits together. Like it's REALLY bothering. E.g. Silver Cross makes Shake It look like a M E S S. It literally is a mess, but if was placed amongst similar sounding tracks it would pass as being experimental etc but it just sticks out like a sore thumb. I think she really tried to recreate Pop 2 but Pop 2 was actually cohesive. I guess you could argue this album just shows how diverse she is and that she can literally do any sound really, which is good. But idk its just a problem for me. Overall, its nice to finally get an album from her and you can tell these songs obviously mean so much to her and show her personality completely. You cant really compare it to xcxworld because I feel like she was probably at a different time in her life. Standouts: NLC, Click, Silver Cross, White Mercedes

Silver Cross and I Dont Wanna Know are SERVES. The latter might be the saddest song of all time

I'm listening from start-end and not on Shake It yet - please say its good, I see so many people trashing it

1999 sticks out like a sore thumb omfg this is a MESS

NLC.... Oh wow this euphoric ANTHEM
-
Does it have the same (more of a?) party-banger vibe than I Got It production wise? - like I love I Got It I was just hoping for Shake It to be like I Got It gone wild
-
Spill more tea girl I'm hyped Whats Shake It like? NLC? WM.... the other solo tracks I can't wait any longer
-
Kim's verse on Click being compared to Minaj's verse on Monster
-
counting on you for a track by track review as soon as it hits 00:00
-
that was inevitable tbh there was no way 1999 was going to flow within the tracklist no matter where it was placed. Does the rest of it flow though? I’m worried about that, especially w BIOYL
-
That’s true, if it were to leak prior to NZ I think it would have by now tbh. Even Taylor’s leaked before and we know how secure she is about her music, it’s so strange it hasn’t leaked (in a good way of course)
-
I mean it will leak, because of NZ

Being realistic, waiting till midnight in my own county is TOO much I'm gonna have to become a New Zealander, but I'm going to blast it on my good speakers Also - independent gave it a 4/5! "There’s more gurgling, rattling percussive unease on the cyborg strip-club themed "Shake It", featuring raps from Big Freedia, Cupcakke, Brooke Candy & Pabllo Vittar over beats first buried deep in the track’s concrete foundations then suddenly bursting into the foreground. The terrific "Click", featuring German singer-songwriter Kim Petras and Estonian rapper TOMM¥ €A$H, is a brag-jam, heavy on the revving and gear grinding, with the dull-ding of a metronome keeping pace in the background. It ends in a mechanical squirm of sci-fi sound effects. " Shes coming

Tbh, the production on the snippet did seem a bit generic. As long as the melody is the same (bc its beautiful)

So Official is deffo types.. "-As well as Official with its lyrics about a developing relationship (“I remember our first date, no chocolate and no bouquet / but the way that you kissed me, these are the things that could make us official”)" https://www.musicomh.com/reviews/albums/charli-xcx-charli

That review is really good. I feel like that's one of the first reviews so far where they understand her and her music so can therefore understand the music/message/lyrics/production better. That review has made me really hyped

Well its over. Edit: Give us more tea!

I think the Jam City collab song might be her best melody/lyrics... ever. If it actually turns out to be Silver Cross I think we might have her best song.
