  2. why not both? fuck it, leak something, it's been dry for so long
  3. lanaboards.com, the lana del rey cult who is majority gay, does crime, and eats hot chip
  4. It makes me wonder if it's because she got kind of close with his kids and it hurt even more, because she was getting more and more into that step mom role when she was dating him. She went to his kids soccer games or whatever, it was sweet. It could also be more to it, what she talked about in Textbook. It makes me think this is only going to further the narrative we were meant to receive on Blue Banisters
  5. did you know that when i was a white dress i was a white dress working the streets, when i was a white dress, i used to white dress all on my feet down at the tunnel under ocean blvd, i used to skate in my white dress when i was a white dress
  6. I just really hope the rest of the album is clearly represented when she released the title track for this album. The title track's lyrics are so fucking good. The instrumental is so FUCKING GOOD, top tier from Lana. The lyrics are super fucking good. I want the rest of the album to be held to this quality and want to expect it to be this high but sometimes setting expectations too high will fuck yourself over. The lyrical changes as the song goes from, "Tell me you like it" to "Tell me you like me" and "There's a tunnel under ocean blvd" changing to "Don't forget me like the tunnel under ocean blvd" are so subtle, but seem so important. I want the album right now.... she literally hyped me up without doing much at all this album cycle. literally the photoshoot, the title track, i'm ready for the next song and the full album
  7. Her NY accent coming through to confuse people again. Marred makes sense, in the context. "I can't help but feel somewhat like my body, mind, my soul" doesn't make sense. She's saying the beauty she's chased has consumed her soul. It also makes sense if you look at how lately, she'll post pics with no makeup, she deleted her old insta, she's been doing less with her hair than she used to (remember the big hair, the beehive, teased hair, etc.) She wishes she didn't have to do that to feel or be beautiful.
  8. not you calling them a stripper Canadian Tulsa Jesus Freak
  9. oh good to know!! thank you!! <3
  10. but do we know that that's what it's referring to? like a source
  11. i still wanna know who the fuck penny mason is
  12. This makes me think that it's possible she still had it on her computer, maybe someone will leak it someday. The issue here is that if that's the case, we'll know that leak will have come from her stolen laptop or a hacked Apple ID, since MGK said himself he deleted it from his computer. So the only way for it to leak is straight from Lana's devices
  13. One of the best MJ songs, honestly
  14. I haven't read this thread yet but I wanted to put this out there. I think the lyrics of this song are truly important to the story she meant to tell with Blue Banisters or even when it was called Rock Candy Sweet. The first line, she's asking you a question she already knows the answer to. No, we didn't know that there's a tunnel under ocean blvd. And that's the point. Asking that question, it translates to her asking if we know that there's depth to her. And I don't even think it's a question to the listener, as much as it is for her lover. The song thematically is about internally feeling as if you don't meet the standards of society or really, critics. Listening to it over and over, I think I finally realized why it seems so sad to me. "When's it gonna be my turn" to not be this figure of beauty and societal fuck, but to be in love and loved for her depth and layers, overall, not just her beauty. When will anyone listen to what I'm trying to say and how the music sounds? "Open me up, tell me you like it" isn't physical, she wants him to get down to her depth, to read her layers and truly like her for her, and this is still a double meaning for the critics too. On the surface level, Ocean Blvd is this city and what everyone perceives as pretty and bustling, but underneath, theres something much more dark, something with more layers than what the outside can show off. In a way it feels like this is pleading for the question she asked back in Young & Beautiful, "will you still love me when I'm no longer young & beautiful?" and now she's simply saying "Don't forget me, like the tunnel under ocean blvd" especially at the end, she changes it from "theres" to "like the tunnel under ocean blvd." It's a subtle change, but is important. You can even go further with this thought, that maybe this tunnel is in some sort of a way, a rotting layer where a princess has been locked away. The second verse kind of cements that for me, that this tunnel is a double entendre for her feelings and depth, but also something that's locked her away whether that's from relationships or friendships, hence the Camarillo line, only silver mirrors running down the corridor, where she's literally the only one in this second metaphorical tunnel looking back at her self. It makes her realize how alone she is in this eternal fight for someone to understand her. Which puts us at the third verse "I just wish I had a friend like him, someone to give me fire, Lennon in the back, whispering in my ear, 'Come on baby, you can drive/thrive' but I can't" This line immediately made me think of this song, if she is in fact saying "Lennon" and "Baby, you can drive" This track also gives more meaning to the line "You are a tunnel lined with yellow lights on a dark night" from Yayo, which doesn't seem extremely deep, but it's a well liked line because it's so visual, but now I think I understand it even more. She's saying this person's depth shines bright but you have to drive through it, rather than digging straight down into it, which I think kind of plays a part here. I think this video would fit this song extremely well
  15. Apple Music now has a feature where you can slide the vocals down to be extremely quiet and it's interesting being able to hear the sounds of the instrumental better, it's even more beautiful, the strings i haven't noticed before really pop this way
  16. real fans or not, it sounds a lot like if you lie down with me. which is a good thing, i liked that song a lot. it is what it is.
  17. I don't think you're wrong, because NFR had the titles censored on the back and the title was shortened to NFR for store copies like the Target version
