@Elle maybe a way you could keep this thread alive is maybe notifying when somebody she knows, like a family member or friend, or a member of her team, such as ben & ed, post a picture of her/with her, or about her music?

i think it'd be very strange if her possibly having a new record label has anything to do with this... why would finding a new label require her to deactivate her social media?

lana shouldn't let them win though, she should be happy, authentic & thriving in spite of them... at the same time, i know lana's human, you can only take so much crap from other people before it really eats at you

also i feel like lana's always had this "idgaf" kind of attitude (remember her tropico #fuckoff post during qftc?) so i wonder why she feels like she needs to do this, i mean, it seems like lately she's been fighting back at people's criticisms at her, also being active online in general, now she wants to deactivate? maybe it's not my place to speculate why she's doing this, since i understand completely that social media is a cesspool and it can be terrible for one's mental health... idk... i just feel weird about it, i hope she's alright :-(

i agree that this video/announcement is strange, she sounds like she's about to cry throughout the whole video and she doesn't sound very assured... maybe she just doesn't care about social media and maybe it's an accumulation of the past year or so, since qftc, it just seems... strange... i feel like weird saying that because i've quit using social media mostly for my own mental wellbeing, so i can understand if that's a part of it... but how is she going to stay connected to her fans? how is she going to promote & announce? i guess she has twitter, but... idk...
