THIS!! I so vividly remember summer of 2016 when one day I stumbled on the thread for die Life and it was so informative and ugh I loved it those discussions were amazing

I feel like Birdy like many others people is very talented in certain aspects of the song making process (singing, playing) but less in others (song writing) and I wish she had somebody like Billie has Finneas to give her a more marked creative direction

I just listened to Pancake Karma this morning and WOW that song alone is more clever both melodically and lyrically than anything on Love + Fear

these songs are so NOT Marina?? like it's COMPLETELY different from her writing style up until FROOT the beat drop/breakdown is terrible and doesn't fit her at all, the production is horrible i just don't get what happened that caused her to completely revolutionize her songwriting process it sounds like a completely different person than the one who wrote froot

yeah I know?? “lol” I just said it would be easier for INHA as opposed to other tracks cause she has spoken about it many times over the years, sang it a lot during the LF tour and only two people worked on the track + it’s fairly recent so there wouldn’t be as many issues as there would be for TFJ/EH tracks considering TFJ was 12-13 years ago and EH 10 years ago

yeah she’s definitely ruined her voice over time she’s always had a naturally beautiful, soft, breathy voice which is basically perfect for what she does but the constant singing + lack of proper training has taken a toll she needs to take lessons asap

if this is a response to my comment, I explicitly said that I didn’t know any instances of her being transphobic and I was just asking if anybody knew cause I thought the claim seemed weird
