I can't stop listening to it. I love how sexy and passionate her vocals are. They're insane. I love the feel of the song. I wish it was longer. It's so fking good.

While I've always really liked Honeymoon, I'm starting to really appreciate its brilliance now. While it might not be my favorite album of her's, it's definitely her best work she's produced. It's really cool to see how much she's progressed from May Jailer to AKA to BTD to UV and to HM. She's always been talented, but she's really honed her skills and continued to get better and better.

Yeah, I hope she sells enough to have the freedom to make what she wants musically and cinematically as well. And I'm glad you liked Ride! That's a really good idea for Lana to do what Ariana did also. You're right, it would help her get more $$ and would be good for fans. I hate how there's basically nothing live from UV that we can listen to in good quality without fans screaming. Luckily, we got HBTB, TLY, and HM from that one radio interview, and we have a lot from BTD. Yeah, I agree 100%

I agree with everything you said. I'd love the live performances in a small studio. I listen to acoustic and live versions of her time so much now. I agree, Shades of Cool is one of the better ones. I'm a fan of MTWBT too. Ultraviolence had so much potential. Just hope she takes her time with the next era. I'd rather wait longer and have great music, BTD-level videos, and good promotion, rather than another era like UV or HM. Of course, her music has never failed to be great, even though I'm hoping for more energy this next album, but her videos and promo have gone really downhill with UV and HM compared to BTD.

God, I miss her BTD vocal energy so much. I didn't realize it until you just mentioned it. Off to the Races is still insane to me to this day. I love how she sounds so desperate in the choruses, almost manic. I miss the emotion and urgency in her voice when she'd sing "Love you more than those bitches before, say you'll remember. Say you'll remember, baby." in Blue Jeans. I miss hearing her mischievous and taunting tone like in National Anthem or Lolita. Ultraviolence and Honeymoon are very good, but damn if they aren't draining for the listener. Granted, there might be a few select songs where she's not so solemn, but her vocals overall on the last two albums have sounded so worn out, like it takes all the energy out of her to sing them.

Honeymoon is a beautiful album. Like someone else said though, hoping for something different next time around with more energy. It's not that I think the album is boring, I just find I have to be in a very mellow mood to listen to it. I'll admit I've listened to it a lot less than BTD and UV. The last 3 songs of the album almost never get played for me. I am hoping for something that's easier to listen to the next album, like Born to Die. I find with Ultraviolence, I have to be in a darker mood than usual to listen to it. With Honeymoon, again, I have to be in a mellow mood. Born to Die, while still dark a lot of the times, it just doesn't seem so demanding of the listener. For example, National Anthem still fits my mood while I'm down or upbeat. On Honeymoon, High by the Beach, is still pretty solemn imo, even when it's the most upbeat song on the album, and Ultraviolence, though I consider it her best overall album, it's pretty draining to listen to because it's so dark. It's not that I want her to revert to her old Born to Die sound, because I want her to keep evolving and growing as an artist. I just want something that's lighter and has more energy since UV and HM are much more demanding to listen to.

I've been longing for another BTD/NA/Ride type video but honestly find this video hypnotic for some reason. Fits the song so well and the black and the aesthetics are amazing. I love the shots of the silhouettes of the guys in black and white with that basketball court that seems like it's on the edge of the earth. I loved the song from the start but this video has made me want to listen to it more so I say it served its purpose.

I agree with this. Ultraviolence is much more coherent and to me, an overall better album. BTD has some of the greatest standout songs/singles I think of any of her albums so far (BTD, Off to the Races, Blue Jeans, Video Games, National Anthem, Summertime Sadness), but I skip a lot of the rest of the songs on the album. Although they're good, I just prefer mainly listening to those instead of the whole album whereas I much rather listen to UV all the way through. Honeymoon is too early for me to judge as well.

The pre-chorus melody and guitar of "Religion." ("It was never about the money or the drugs") The "I, I" of "I, I see you going" in MTWBT The beginning of "Art Deco," that synth or whatever it is that kinda sounds like a really relaxed laser gun sound or something. The saxophone or whatever instrument it is after "A little party never hurt no one so we stay out late" The melody of the chorus/"Ever since my baby went away, it's been the blackest day" of "Blackest Day"

I agree with both of these. Although I love UV and I think it really did prove she her musical capability and ability to cross into new styles while still having her signature sound and being unique, nothing yet has topped the BTD era for me. BTD had better standout songs while UV had a better album overall. BTD had better lyrics. I liked her style better in BTD (the 50s/60s glamour looks, for example this photoshoot). And most of all, BTD had much much much better videos. That's really the thing I miss most from Lana. Her videos from BTD were really so phenomenal, combining aesthetic, storyline, great editing, great cinematography, fitting for the songs. Yes I like her home videos too. But even her home video for Video Games was a million times better than the home videos she's been giving us lately. Now, I'm not even caring much for the Honeymoon songs we've heard so far. Can only hope it'll somehow to turn out to be as great as BTD or UV musically to me, or maybe even an era as great as BTD. But I don't think BTD will be able to be topped for me as a whole.

The film is very strange, has the contrast of conservative and religious vs rebellious and wild, has the vintage look of the country vs the modern city of Vegas with its night life, has druggies and guys with long hair, beautiful cinematography, wide open roads, surrealism, sexuality, even heart-shaped sunglasses, and the main character will probably remind you a bit of Lizzie Grant visually and just in her weird ways. It's on Netflix if you want to watch it. I recommend it.

Sounds boring, just like Honeymoon. They're both good but I just don't really care to listen to them again. High By The Beach is good, but still, none of the songs released from "Honeymoon" are anywhere as near good to me as Born To Die, Off to the Races, Blue Jeans, Video Games, National Anthem, Summertime Sadness, Ride, West Coast, etc.

She's influenced me a lot actually. She was the start of my departure from pop stars to start exploring other genres of music. She helped me a lot through my depression and helped me feel less alone. She inspired me to explore more art, writing, songwriting, music, etc. She really showed me how much more thought, creativity, personality, personal control, etc. could go into music in general compared to the average pop star just singing whatever song someone gave them. I feel like I'm missing a lot more but the point is, she's changed me significantly.

I'm probably not doing this right, just saying my favorite part of her songs that stand out to me personally. -Blue Jeans in its entirety. The whole song is just so beautiful. I love the verses and the buildup of the bridge to the last chorus and that silence it has right between the bridge and last chorus -Born To Die bridge or whatever the fuck it is when it's just the strings and the chorus. "Come take a walk on the wild side. Let me kiss you hard in the pourin' rain, you like your girls insane." The whole song is a masterpiece and it truly has the feeling of emptiness, loss, and tragedy while being extremely beautiful. "Don't make me sad, don't make me cry" was always stunning to me too. -National Anthem in general but the bridge is the ultimate moment. The whole song for me represents a rise to wealth and power while the original girl who had to be told to be cool was lost in the process. It's the ultimate representation of corruption from power, wealth, and fame. The bridge is so well written and just is the ultimate buildup. The song always reminds me of the Fourth of July to which is great bc it's my favorite holiday. -Summertime Sadness second verse - "I'm feeling electric tonight. Cruisin' down the coast, goin' bout 99." It's not anything special lyrically but I love how it strips down to just her voice, beat, and the cheers in the background. The lyrics also bring back memories for me. It's always been the part of the song I look forward to although I love the whole thing in general so much. -Million Dollar Man live at iTunes Festival -Body Electric live at iTunes Festival -Ride whole thing means so much to me and reminds me of my depression days but "I'm tired of feeling like I'm fucking crazy" and build up of bridge -Ultraviolence chorus, drums, "reminded me of when we were kids" leading into chorus -Shades of Cool guitar part with her moaning in the background, gives me chills and makes me feel so powerful especially if during a workout -Brooklyn Baby I always look forward to "I get high on hydroponic weed" and "Yeah, my boyfriend's pretty cool, but he's not as cool as me." So simple, but so cute. I will always love the chorus so much. -West Coast chorus and specifically the last chorus is ultimate heaven. Makes me feel psychedelic and heavenly. -Money Power Glory chorus -FMYUTTT "Tell me something tonight, about your favorite girl" always gets me. Shoutout to "Go baby go, go, go" too. -Florida Kilos intro always gets me pumped and I love it so much. Plus the bridge/whatever it is where it's just the guitar and her singing "Come on down to Florida, I got something for ya." -Jealous Girl "Baby, I'm a gangsta too, and it takes two to tango. You don't wanna dance with me." Always thought this was so clever and I love this part of the song musically, it sounds so taunting? Idk if that's the right word but yeah. -Go Go Dancer "You make me wild" and just the whole song in general -Kill Kill The chorus with the dun dun dun dun and er er, er er (idk what the instrument is lmao)

The videos are so disappointing this era. Shades of Cool is the best so far but I don't even think it's that great. West Coast is acceptable because, well, the video is just her on the West Coast. But Ultraviolence I was expecting a higher production or at least a more shocking video with a concept/plot. The Born To Die video is more "ultraviolent" than Ultraviolence. It deserved a video so much better than this. I feel like I'm going to be forever waiting for another BTD high production/large concept video and it's never going to happen.

Please let this be a surprise high budget film out of nowhere. The homemade/homemade looking videos are ok once and a while but they get boring. I want more videos like BTD, National Anthem, and Ride.

I couldn't decide at first but now I think Ultraviolence is superior to BTD. I never thought she could do it. I thought BTD was already crazy good but Ultraviolence is even better for me.

I would say Brooklyn Baby for sure needs one. I want to see one for MPG, FMWUTT, and OM though too.
