  1. I don't need you to question what I can or I can't deal with tbh I won't tolerate something I consider rude and disrespectful. This is a discussion board so at least you're expected to make valid points about what you say. Calling the song 'shit' is not an opinion, it's just childish but please go on defending the indefensible

    :bye:

Ok, friend.  And you please go on getting your feelings crushed just because someone happens to dislike a song that you like.  I promise, it will all be OK.

  2. I'm all in for people having their own voice and opinion but you're wrong. Calling Honeymoon 'shit' is not stating an opinion, it's actually insulting towards Lana and those who actually like the song. If you don't like something you keep quiet or you state it in a non-inflammatory way. Simple.

You're obviously not "for people having their own voice and opinion," because you can't tolerate people having a negative one.  By your own logic, all the people who are screaming "OMG this is the best song ever, I am crying" are insulting to the people who don't like it.  Why is it OK for people to have an extremely positive opinion but not an extremely negative opinion?  Calling it "shit" very much IS "stating an opinion."  It's stating an opinion that "this song is shit."  Why is that difficult to understand?

You say you're for people expressing themselves, but then go on to suggest that certain people "keep quiet."  Just admit that you only can deal with positive opinions, so we can move on.

  3. Of course it is

    Maybe listen to it again

Production is less minimal than in HM and her vocal delivery is different as well.

Literally every song she oficially released is slow, by the way. Florida Kilos or Natioanl Anthem might be the fastest and those aren't that fast either.

By slow I'm referring to the vocal delivery, rather than the beats-per-minute of the actual instrumentals.  In terms of feel, IMO there's a huge difference between the "speed" of something like Blue Jeans/Summertime Sadness and Old Money/Honeymoon, because of how she delivers the lyrics and because of the amounts of words per line.  It has to do with how slowly she sings individual words, and how she draws out lines, etc.

But I'll listen to LIB again.

  4. It's OK, but a bit boring.  It's not just that it's slow -- but that it's slow and there aren't a lot of lyrics, so the words feel dragged out to finish the lines.  Also, her slow songs are better with more interesting drum/bass lines, IMO.  I'd take pretty much every song on BTD over this.

She sounds great vocally, but I hope the rest of the album is more interesting.  If it's 14 songs of this, it will be a huge let-down.

  5. I mean... If slow is boring to some, maybe they should just not stick so close to Lana's music for now. Her voice sounds so beautiful... How is that possibly boring? :toofunny: If Lana singing beautifully is boring to someone, what's the point really? Sigh.

Sorry though, I just really love this song

    :bye2: though

Is it really that hard for you to understand that Lana has different sounds, and that some people prefer one style to another?  Some people like her fast songs, some people like her slow songs, some people like her jazz songs, some people like her rock songs, some people like her hip hop songs.  It's incredibly arrogant to say that someone shouldn't listen to her now just because they aren't hyperventilating about a particular song.

  6. OK but I would KILL for AFFA to be on honeymoon tbh. Paradise we got yayo, UV we got black beauty, its not that far off tbh. But imo AFFA fits the aesthetic of the album(judging for the HM lyrics and snippets) and I would love for it to be a bonus track (mostly because I NEED it on vinyl) [also I don't want it to be re-done its perfect already].

i could definitely get behind that

  7. Plays virtually the same setlist for years. Gets criticized by fans for boring predictability.

Finally shakes things up by varying her setlist. Gets criticized by fans for unpredictability.

That's not a fair comparison at all.  It's not like she "shook things up" on this tour by performing different songs every night, she had a single setlist that she gradually whittled down until the last night, when she played two new songs.
