I really hope whatever she’s doing to her face is clever makeup/reversible, I’m all for people making their own choices but in a few years the fox eye trend will die out and having big doll eyes with round faces will be back in. (and all those people that got buccal fat removal will be stuck wishing they had their cheeks back. as a woman I’m so fed up of plastic surgery being a ‘trend’)

the instrumental bridge is so much more interesting, it’s a shame there aren’t any mastered vocals to see what she was going to do with it. edit: though I suppose maybe she didn’t know what to do with it and that’s why it was scrapped.

it's because it's about data collection, not about actually helping the artist. they see your email, username, if you're subscribed, what country you're from, what you've recently played etc. edit: then with this new thing warner now has people's phone numbers. that being said it's everyone's decision whether they want to give over this stuff, and it does give you a warning so it's not like they're hiding it.

is this her least amount of lyrics in a (finished) song? there are some other lyrics i can't quite make out. she just sings 'come on' in banshee by santigold, and 'yes, no, okay, i don't know' in the bottoms soundtrack. also has the original demo of this leaked?

she posted 🖌️📖 and then a selfie with her laptop & recording equipment behind her, if we interpret that to mean she's still writing and making her home demos, I'm wondering if she's not quite as far along as we thought? unless the album is self produced which would be interesting, I often feel like her demos have a bit of 'weirdness'/uniqueness that gets a bit lost in the final. in general though I'm so curious to see what a self-funded era would look like. her tumblr selfies in the electra heart era were so on point, she had to pay for the first froot photoshoot because atlantic didn't trust her then they paid for the second part. (that's why Froot (song), Happy, Forget, Gold, and Blue were done in august and the album, immortal and i'm a ruin were done in october) she does seem to have quite a good eye for aesthetics but she doesn't always seem to be able to pull her vision off, either for budget reasons or losing interest.

Whereas with this, David had a fantastic network of people, so I was able to get Jason who drums for The Cure. And he produced Everything Everything and they played with me. It was a very different process. I wanted to be produced as a band, I made that clear from the start. I was like, how is PJ Harvey or Patti Smith produced? I was trying to find these females who were songwriters in their own right but didn’t necessarily sound ballad-laden.

I was talking about the ones that already leaked, blue's first demo had a date of january 2014 by the og file name and she didn't get into the studio with david until april 2014. though I'm sure there are more we don't have. desperate for the full froot demo, she was so mean for teasing that

marina said that froot originally had a different producer and she worked on the album with them for months before meeting david. this mystery producer was someone she worked with before, and was probably based in the uk (based on her social media). I think this is why she scrapped some of the more 'interesting' production which is a shame.

I agree but in this case it wasn’t her management that was the problem, she was slagging off the song off during its press tour it really deserved to have a moment but she sabotaged it. ——— also I’m really loving how this era she’s not overpromising/teasing lyrics etc, especially with her track record of teasing lyrics/visuals and then scrapping them. it is tedious to wait but at least I don’t feel like I’m being strung along like 2017/2018.

one thing that really grates me is they’re always on her instagram stories which disappear in 24hrs,* it’s appearing to care/help whilst never actually committing to a cause, and just virtue signalling. i’m not sure which pride month it was but charli xcx had useful/donation links pinned for the whole month. meanwhile marina goes to a hotel she calls out in a song and puts money into the pocket of a man who kills ‘thousands of gay men’ *I don’t have twitter so I don’t know what she posts there, if anything.

sinful has never been registered as finished the same way that Miss Y has never been registered as finished, so that's why I expressed my doubt (and why I don't want people to get their hopes up like Miss Y), sorry if I didn't explain myself properly, from the marina wiki: scab and plaster was registered as unfinished several times before it was finally registered as finished. edit: i'm sure some of those 7 might be duplicates but someone leak the other 6 demos of sinful whilst we're at it

as much I would like the song (the snippet sounds good), I'm remaining sceptical it's a 'final' version until it leaks. miss y's 'final' version is absolutely not the final version despite people touting it as such before it leaked, and like miss y, the song was never registered as finished either.

(though I agree with what @bluevelvetcola has said)
