    I mean, these articles have their validity, but it should be noted that this all seems unintentional. While Lana's just doing her, people are finding thinkpieces and deeper meaning in everything she does. I guess that's cool for her, but I don't think she knows she's doing anything but telling her life story.

    I think this article is more about the people that "follow" her and why they choose to do so, which ultimately reflects in the way we think these days and how society is overall.

    you're speaking to an eastern europeaner (i know it's not a word lel) and it is true :D people don't care that much, but since I spend an unhealthy amount of time on the internet I can't not notice shit like that. like yeah, it may not affect my life right now, but what if one day I look around and everybody starts acting like that..you know what I mean? lol no thank you.

    nah, it's just a new tumblr trend that has taken over some parts of the usa. wait until tumblr gets shut down lmao.

    some of it does come from there, but I swear to god everywhere i look, fucking comment sections on youtbe, twitter, facebook, anywhere the first thing that comes up has to be something along those lines. that, or something so stupid that I wanna stab myself in the eyes.

    YES. lana is not a role model, she isn't here to tell you how to think or feel, she doesn't have to do anything 'right and correct' for you. she's simply an artist who's telling her life story and sharing her feelings. the whole think is so fucked-up because everybody is judging lana for feeling unhappy and thinking it would be much easier for her if she was dead. depression is a mental illness you can't control so a few 'pls lana stop glamorizing death you're so talented and have so much ahead of you!!!!1' sentences don't help her at all. if lana feels like she wants to live a wild life and die young, she has the right to. if she's scared of death, there is nothing wrong of it too. everybody has their own personal relationship with death and we can't tell anybody shit about it.

    I always wonder how we (people these days) can manage to be such oversensitive individuals and yet still be desensitized to the real things that are wrong with this world. Lana talking about feminism or Kurt Cobain is a fucking headline, but idk, murder isn't. 

    should i really bring up Miley again?

    I see "to glamorise" is the new "it" word nowadays. Yeah she sings about death a lot, yeah she may have liked the idea of dying young and free, at the top of your powers and fame in some songs. Y&B is filled with her fear of getting old and becoming unrecognized, aching and not beautiful anymore.  But fuck it, she is artist, she has her own artistic persona. She isnt politician to make some official statement for the country. Im sick of the fact how art is now supposed to be morally perfect, "healthy" and politically correct. 

    glamorizing and cultural appropriation = the words of our generation

    Are we sure about that? Well Barrie went to Glasgow for a family wedding at the end of April that's why Lana was always alone in the photos, and hasn't returned to USA yet but that makes sense since Lana was on a tour so they couldn't spend much time together. Also when travelling to the other side of the world it's common to spend about a month there especially when you are going home there's a lot of people you want to see. Also Barrie travelled to London the same day as Lana arrived in London. Why would he go if they had broke up? Also they both have profile pictures together on facebook, when you broke up with someone you delete the photos you don't keep them as profile photos! Also about Brooklyn baby, Scottie Diablow who is Lana's friend and Barrie's manager, wrote in his facebook that Barrie does the backup vocals. Who said it's not Barrie?

    True. But I'm sure that's just one of the factors. Substance abuse might be the part that Lana is referring to when she says he needs to clear his head and he a handle on things. I don't know much about Barrie but it wouldn't be all that shocking if he enters into rehab.
