  1. no she ain't, this shit is gonna last at most until monday and twitter will go find something else to scream about in their social media void. and i say that as someone who's leaning a little bit more towards the people upset by her words. what she needs to do is log off. go write poetry. don't get me wrong, i love the drama, but she's setting herself up for social media backlash; especially since she's now posting shit from her tropico era which already rubbed people the wrong way years back

If anything she’ll go recluse again and say she’s quitting music because none of us deserve her art. If people aren’t worshipping her then she gets pissed off.

  2. Girl how...this is the most iconic and entertaining thing she’s done in years. Nobody likes Lana because she’s woke or PC, the contrary actually. It’s surprising how many wokescolding fans she has like she wasn’t the bitch who wore head dresses and larped as a latina and wrote songs glamorizing every toxic thing she could think off. Maybe this is the difference between old stans and new stans.

Maybe you’re talking to the wrong person bc i’m definitely not a new fan. It’s only the most entertaining thing she’s done. If you think the “culture” she’s seeking validation from and 1 million tweets dragging her is iconic then sure. I guess. She has been problematic in the past, never expected much from a upper class white girl like her but this is a trainwreck.

And if you think her intention was to glamorize her toxic relationships then you’re exactly the kind of people she was referring to in her post.

  3. It’s quite ironic and slightly sad that this post which was made as a way for her to release her frustrations (no matter how poorly worded) has now turned into the witch hunt she’s been trying to avoid post 2012. I’d say it’s her own fault but she’ll use it as a way to further victimize herself. I still feel somewhat bad though.

It’s like SNL all over again. Trending on twitter being dragged left and right. Even the amount of ”Lana Del Ray” tweets i’m seeing is giving me flashbacks. In 2020. It’s actually crazy lmao

  4. Also I really do think Lana only listed all those women due to them being in the charts right now with new releases, and I’m sure she supports the majority however her entire post reads like her being an upset toddler seeing other women succeed without getting as much flack as she did 8-9 years ago. Maybe move on and seek some therapy if you’re still this bothered almost a decade later.

  5. What you’re saying is that because Lanas hard work has payed off, and she now has a platform to be as honest and open as she wants, and because she pointed out a double standard faced by ALL women in the industry , and that makes her racist for not acknowledging those women’s struggles as well? Like they’re not all Privelaged rich people lol.... Lana was basically blacklisted by critics for the majority of her career lol. Think she deserves a say

Maybe work on your reading comprehension because yikes. She specifically wrote that her point isn’t that Lana is racist, simply that her poorly worded statement is racist due to how tone deaf it is.

  6. You may think it's trash, but you surely knew what kind of backlash you were going to get by posting this comment on this thread. Like I've said several people disliked it and they may think it's shit but they didn't beg for attention calling it like that on a thread that is mostly people praising it. You're the pressedT one girl!!!

I really wasn't trying to "beg for attention" by saying how I really feel but the fact that thats how you see it just shows how defensive some of you ppl are when it comes to anything Lana related. Not that I expected anything to change over the years but oh well w/e

  7. I was waiting for this LMAO. Who said you can't have an opinion? Calling something trash (idc if this is Lana's song or an Iggy Azalea song) is disrespectful. And doing it on a community, on a THREAD about this song you called trash is a beg for attention and you know it. Plenty people disliked the song but they don't go around calling it trash.

HMM im sorry the word trash gets you this bothered. It's not that serious. I think the song is trash. I'm allowed to say it. I'm not coming @ you for liking it am i?

lmao whatever tho done w/ this y'all can keep being defensive over one comment saying they didnt like the song :)))

  8. I think Lana's just really volatile when it comes to interviews. She so clearly just wants to be left alone but I think she definitely wants to get her story across but she just doesn't know how to phrase it and it makes her frustrated when journalists focus on the same shit.

Oh definitely. The questions are so invasive too like where do you get the right to ask her about some stupid theory that she was in a relationship with her teacher? I just don't get it. It's honestly disrespectful. People seem to think they're entitled to dig so deep into Lana's personal life and it's gross.

I love the part she said here which is so fucking true:

"I find the nature of the questions difficult. 'Cause it's not like I'm a rock band and you're asking how everything got made and what it's like touring in arenas and what are the girls like. It's about my father. It's about my mental health. It's fucking personal."

  9. Well fuck. This reporter sure spent a lot of time scooping around the internet but mainly this forum because I actually gasped at the part where he brought up the whole "infamous" teacher/student relationship Lana was supposedly had going on with that dude + the pro ana lyrics which I think have been discussed here before and the part where he mentioned the fwuttt possibly being about Lorde which I really think is fucked up to put that in an article that's going to be read by so many people and start drama, where people might actually credit Rolling Stone and say that's it's somehow confirmed ugh.  Especially when it's basically one of the dumbest and most reaching theories I've heard.

Also I was honestly going to say this interview is amazing and so informative to people who don't really have a lot of knowledge about Lana other than her music but then It was ruined by that ending....? ugh. Mess.

I don't know if I should be annoyed with Lana for being unprofessional and dramatic or that reporter for actually including that in the article like wtf did she really leave that bad of an impression on you? Because it really does seem like he just added that last part about her slamming the door in his face as some sort of dramatic conclusion in some cheap soap opera that's probably never happened irl but is supposed to leave some sort of impact on you. Yikes. Lana never seems to get it right with these interviews at all....i feel bad for her.

  10. Barrie is so embarrassing.  U need to

    tumblr_n1zi5rWB2V1r7b6cio1_500.gif

the fact that he even said "We're not done" as if it was an atual fact is so creepy and beyond delusional. Get a grip dude. Anyway this interview is probably my fave from 2014 so far, the journalist did his homework the questions are really good and relevant/new.

Hmm. What are you actually saying? That you have been in abusive relationships?

    – It's a good question. I have trouble talking about that song, I didn't think I would. I don't know what to say.

    eek....... :tsk:

also yess to the leak related questions lmao I don't think anyone has ever asked her how people got ahold of it before so I'm glad to see she seems to know what the fuck is up with that and the whole circulating leaks bizness

  11. I knew that the fact that Barrie left Kassidy (which I'm sure he ending being super bitter about later) was going to end up as a disaster for their relationship. Having to give up his friends/family, his band (of how many years.. . :smh:  )  & his life basically and move to LA all for Lana,  like you know he'd probably throw that in her face if they ever argued about something, talking about how much he's sacrificed for her etc. There's a lot of other shit that probably also played a part in their breakup but I'm sure this had to be one of the reasons. (also I don't really think Barrie liked the general hollywood/LA lifestyle, I can see him talking shit to Lana about how vapid and shallow ppl are in HW and how his 'old & authentic soul' just cannot cope with living there)

& they were actually engaged (but I guess she's denying it now that they broke up) so I'm a bit sorry to see this end...especially since it seems like they ended things on a bitter note.  But if he wasn't good for her then I'm glad this is over and I really hope she does not go back to him. You can do better than these type of lowlife, leechy and toxic men that bring you down Lana. Barrie seemed nice but we never really knew him so who knows what was under that exterior. I almost feel like she was too nice to end this sooner (didn't she say something about staying with the same stylists, mangers etc out of comfort so maybe it also applied to her bf)

    :rip:

  12. This video is basically re-used ideas and concepts from her old BTD videos. Nothing new or creative. I actually still don't even know what the video was about? The visuals were really pretty but that's it. Would never in a million years call this Lana's best video  :dafuq:

Anyway, I hope her next video stays with this budget.

  13. Yes lyrically. Most of BTD is, in my opinion, just filled with words that sound pretty and go together well. UV has more depth and meaning.

Diet Mountain Dew, Carmen, Lolita, This Is What Makes Us Girls. UV has no fillers in my opinion.

Most of BTD is, in my opinion, just filled with words that sound pretty and go together well.

hm that's funny because I think that's the perfect description for UV. (if you remove the go together well part. It was painfully obvious that Lana has lost her creativeness lyrically and just includes stuff she knows her fans will eat up and have loved in the past. ie references of drug usage, supposed 'tragic' love relationships that never last and are doomed from the start, interest in creepy men and just men in general & looking pretty in a variety of dresses + references to poets, authors, icons and dead musicians (aka her friends) that work 1/5 times. Add a little cussing to that/mention of a bad boi and a bad gorl getting high on sum hydroponic weed at some tropial mystical place with some mellow old hollywood music and it's tumblr's wet dream & a new LDR album)

But anyway different strokes 4 different folks I guess :P

  14. As iconic as Born To Die was... I feel like Ultraviolence is on a higher level sonically and lyrically. BTD has a lot more "filler" tracks than UV for sure.

    lyrically? are you trolling

& what tracks on BTD do you think sounded like 'fillers..'?

  15. "if my choice is to, I don’t know, be with a lot of men, or if I enjoy a really physical relationship, I don’t think that’s necessarily being anti-feminist. For me the argument of feminism never really should have come into the picture. Because I don’t know too much about the history of feminism, and so I’m not really a relevant person to bring into the conversation. Everything I was writing was so autobiographical, it could really only be a personal analysis.”

yesss Lana, this is pretty much the perfect response. bless

  16. What 'messy' tracks exactly, are you talking about?  :wtf2:  :wat:  :whoopi:  :awkney:

Pretty much the majority of these tracks are a variety of meh and cringe. The lyrics are just.....  :awk:

I know u people will love anything she gives you so there's no point in me explaining but quality (& lyric) wise, Old Money, Florida Kilos & Black Beauty >>>>

    the rest is 80% trash.
