  1. Just watched the reaction to the album of Steven In Stereo and it made me think that maybe Lana is really considering ending her career. :poordat: The lyrics related to being tired of fame and longing for simple life are so common across the whole record (White Dress, Chemtrails, LMLYLAW, Tulsa Jesus Freak, Wild at Heart, Dark But Just A Game, Dance Till We Die, For Free)... Plus her recent instagram post with "thank you for everything", "until we meet again", "I will be out there somewhere"... And all the drama with Question for the culture, BBC interview, the cover of the album... It kinda makes sense all together. :icant:

Maybe she just needs a break.

i think because lana said nicki gave the song to her, that's probably why lana has the second verse, she probably just added it and thats probably why it sounds more like a nicki song than a lana song, so she didn't need to be credited cus technically its not a collab, just a song passed over to lana who clearly didn't want to remove nickis vocals

    thats how i see it

But they wrote the song together, they even came up with the lyrics (breaking up slowly is a hard thing to do) when they were talking, that's how the idea of the song started.

I just hope Nikki is not credited because for some reason she did not want it, otherwise it would be pretty bad.

  3. I remember when during one of the lives, Lana said that she and Jack were a match made in heaven. I thought it was cute. :) I generally think it is important to work with people that you like, and it always seemed to me that they really are friends. Plus, they created together a loooot of great tracks already, I would be surprised if anybody here did not love at least one of them.

But the same with Ben. I think a lot of people dislike him here with no good reason. With him I also had impression that they are close with Lana, and he is giving her a lot of freedom that she probably needs. But still, a lot of negativity here. I think we should trust Lana's choices. I am sure she knows what and who is best for her and her music.

Don't ignore the fact that it's the first album that sounds like the previous one in Lana's Career.

I personally think that COTCC sounds nothing like NFR. I would argue that it is closer to LFL, in some parts to AKA. But NFR?

    Spoiler

Maybe the sample in Wild at heart and Tulsa Jesus Freak has a bit of Cinnamon Girl's vibe, and that's it.

  5. Dark but just a game

    Spoiler

Do we have any idea who is the song about? I have the impression that the line "no rose left on the vines" may be some clue. And the recurring  "whatever"s, but this is probably too generic to help. And I assume this person is a man,  because I think that in the beginning she doesn't mean Jack but that guy (that's what he would say to me).

EDIT: OK, maybe "he" is Jack, since later "I was a pretty little thing" sounds more like something that a woman would say. But not sure.

yes. the only song its clear in is wild at heart, and even then people are overreacting. it just has that same string/guitar swell that a lot of songs on norman had (HTD, MAC, Love Song, HIAB)

    Spoiler

No, it is not exaggerated, it literally has the same music as in How to Disappear's instrumental bridge. I was listening to HTD a lot and there is no mistake, the same samples are used.

It’s strange because if I was releasing and album, I’d be super excited tweeting about it and engaging with fans daily.  She just has this ‘yeah whatever’ attitude.  Sometimes I actually wonder if she likes releasing music. My guess it’s because she is ultra sensitive to the criticism so for her it’s actually really stressful/nerve wracking and the expectations from fans, so she shies away from it all.

It is kind of sad when you compare it with NFR. :( She teased it a lot, yes, but you could see how much she liked it.  I hope that COTCC is just more personal, and that's the reason. Or maybe it reminds her of Sean? I was even wondering if she did not change the title track a bit while working on the album, because most of the lyrics are quite happy, but the overall mood is pretty sad.

  8. Damn, it is sooo annoying that White Dress has not been released yet! I was mentally prepared for it to come on 26th of February, it would just be perfect, it would be enough to survive the following three weeks and be happy and excited. When the day passed, I thought that 5th of March would also be ok. But now we still have no info if it is released before the album at all and I just feel so desperate. :crai: Checking this website every hour like a madman, can't focus on anything. :defeated:I hope it will be out by Friday. :poordat:

i know i'm reaching because that neither was announced nor happened since ultraviolence but is there any possibility that there could be a Japanese exclusive edition with one more track on it?

I hope she won't do it ever again because releasing a track only in one market is really really shitty for the fans everywhere else.
