  1. Am I the only one thinking the "youuuuu" on the second verse of the title track sounds off? I mean, when she sings "ahhhhh" at the end of the first verse, it's a C5 and it's on key, but the "you" at the end of the second verse is a centred C#5 and it sounds off key. Maybe it's not and it just sounds weird to my ear but I find it strange she hits a centred C5 the first time and a centred C#5 the second time, over the same chords. And it's not even like she sang a bit sharp, since it's literally super centred.

If you listen carefully, both chords are different tho. The chord Jack plays before the first chorus and the chord before the second chorus differ, so I guess that's why she sang a different note

  2.

am I the only one who hears the phrase “cinnamon girl” all muffled and repeated a few times during the outro of the song? Just around the 4 minute mark for maybe 15 seconds-ish... am I crazy and hearing things or does anyone else hear it?

I definitely hear something, but don't think its "cinnamon girl". I don't know what tho.

Right when the beat drops into the actual outro, I do hear something like "without you/I got you"

  3. a big reason i don't like lust for life and nfr is this sound of her voice that sounds kinda emotionless and distant. like this paper thing, she just sounds so idk  how to describe it but i notice it in these last two albums. it doesn't sound clear and doesn't have the animation that can be found in songs like off to the races and lolita among others and its idk

Even though I do like LFL, I absolutely get what you mean. There's just a lack of clarity in the vocals. In Cinnamon Girl you can hear the switch, the good microphone vocals sounds heavenly but the verses are just muffled

  4. so we’re ignoring how she sang through paper and her vocals had weird filters on lfl?

Vocal filters are a creative choice, microphone quality switch mid-song, all-round bad mastering and demo-like production isn't (in my opinion).

Still not saying NFR is a bad album at all. But the production is 100% the worst out of all her albums.

Also link me to that paper thing cuz that's quite funny honestly lol
