    she's a 35 year-old woman she doesn't need to be shielded from the consequences of her actions

     

    i agree threats are never ok and there's no point in being gratuitously nasty (she removed the video and hopefully learned), but take your stan hats off for a second. she was in the wrong.

    condemned? i thought the context of the video was about kids being killed over everything going on, not malice that people are looting? correct me if i’m wrong

    i thought she was trying to say that george floyd would disagree with the violence and rioting happening

    she posted a video in which you can clearly identify looters and posted in to her account w millions of followers, then condemned them on her story, almost confirming she posted the video out of malice

    idc if lana never thinks about ar*ana again. they come from different universes. 

     

    her whole career and aesthetic is founded upon looking and acting like a little girl. she's a recording artist - her abilities begin and end there. with the help of heavy vocal editing :)

    i found it kinda ironic tbh...if she truly believes "we're all in this together" she shouldn't have said anything. Also I think she missed Lana's point entirely...

    yeah she clearly misunderstood what lana was trying to say. megan's been vilified in the media and i think she identified with that aspect of her statement. but obviously didn't read it closely or critically. i doubt she's too familiar with lana's art and career anyways.

    To me, her point is pretty clear: when female artists sing about their sexuality in a way that's deemed positive or empowering, critics love it. But the moment Lana tries to weave a narrative where she makes mistakes sexually/romantically, and surrenders power to a man (who perhaps doesn't treat her well), she's crucified for it.

     

    She wants everyone to be able to sing about their experiences without being told they're "glamorizing abuse." That's all she's saying. It's not an artist's job to be an example.

    did anyone catch Megan Fox's apparent diss...? 

    it was hardly a diss, she said something to the effect of "i understand where you are coming from, i've been there, but i would never put down other women like that, we're all in this together" etc. etc. etc.

    she's just the definition of a white feminist. 

     

    feminism bored her until trump was elected? and she just saw it as an opportunity to jump on the etsy white table magic wagon... ok

     

    she's just really misinformed and should stop speaking as an authority on topics like feminism, science, etc. it's embarrassing.  

     

    disclaimer: i don't think the name-dropping pertains to this issue, i just have found her feminism talk to be inane and disingenuous. i don't think she cares about women, she cares about public opinion of her more than anything.

    She does seem confident to me, but as a non native English speaker I got a gloomy vibe from it (maybe it's obvious for others  :facepalm: ). Since they were all blonde women who people mentioned died young, and she said she dyed her hair black for them and also decided to turn her shoes "the other way", "not at the ocean"... as a way of saying she doesn't want to end that way? I don't know, what do you guys understand? 

     

    I loved it by the way.

    yeah i think it comes down to her presumptuous tone and her whiny myopic paradigm

    like you could've said all that without trying to be cute. it comes off so contrived, everything she does on social media.

     

     

    i don't completely disagree w her sentiment. and she clearly wasn't dissing any of those women. but come on act your age...

    i don't care about the name dropping it was bold and needed to be said. she's more talented than all those women anyways and she knows.

     

    now when she talks about feminism she's always putting her foot in her mouth.
