  1. Wait that’s such a good point I just looked at his credits/discography to get a hint at which direction she could be leaning toward, and it’s tough to tell! I saw plenty of country, but there’s quite a bit of traditional pop and singer-songwriter works as well! Maybe hearing the entirety of of TUOB will give us a clue
  2. ….. …..so do we think Lana’s already recorded a song for the next album (assuming there is one) like she typically does before the current record is released? I can’t help but wonder if there’s a TUOB track that will point to where she’s headed next musically
  3. I want to join in on the revelry but don’t want to have a crisis from getting my first Warning Point for posting a whale gif
  4. Lana frequently references her own music (often directly with lyricism), so do we think it’s a melodic or instrumental sample instead? I feel like BoZ wouldn’t have mentioned it unless it was something more out of the ordinary for Lana, right? I’m not sure, but I’m on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what it could be given Jack is the only writing credit
  5. I could really see this record resembling a blend of Honeymoon x Violet with its own original twist, and here’s why: We’ve been teased with trap beats, we know there are ambient-like samples, we’re getting more lush instrumentation with strings, diaristic and poetic lyricism, a conceptual sense of cohesion, etc. I genuinely think this could be my favorite Lana record ever. It checks all of my boxes, but I won’t raise my expectations too high—I still need to hear the record, of course! All of that said, the fact that Lana announced that she was still confident in the record despite the amplified possibility of a leak from the theft speaks volumes. She could have easily scrapped the songs and started over/delayed the next record indefinitely, but she knows she struck gold with this album. That’s saying a lot given her past experiences with this!
  6. I assumed the “@honeymoon from hell” post from Jack was just a reference to Lana/her account, but what if she is indeed sampling a song from Honeymoon in a darker, more rage-y way.. an angry track closing the record…I’d like to see it
  7. Wait, didn’t Eclipse initially say something about ending with HBTB? Or something along those lines? it was in front of us the entire time, I fear..
  8. @Kintsugi I don’t really have a specific question, but is there anything you found interesting on a personal level that you want to share?
  9. BoZ said A&W was unprecedented. He’s familiar with Lana’s discography, so I doubt the presence of trap beats alone make A&W experimental. Also, unless one has heard the album, how can assumptions be made about how they’re woven into the record, much less about why Lana chose to incorporate them? If someone doesn’t like trap beats or the samples she used, that’s fine, but making broad assumptions about unheard tracks and their compositions is nonsensical.
  10. I just noticed the voice saying, “Okay,” at the beginning of Sweet Carolina
  11. when I tell you I will be READY to take notes on this!!!! Much deserved!!!
  12. Also, thank you for the Best Taste and the Anti-Noff (Audio) nominations—genuinely means a lot
  13. I can’t remember if the “trilogy” comment from forever ago was just speculation, but it would make so much sense for TUOB to be the “transition” record like LFL
  14. When one of the interludes starts, “You know, sometimes I think god’s playing a little game with me.” (I know there’s no reworked but I fucking love that song)
