I- I think I might have manifested that "best new track" article right here yesterday
-
actually "the right person will stay" has really grown on me, i think this title is just so on brand with Lana, and it's a brilliant title since it can be simple and deeply poetic at the same time since it was a Lana's album. But now we potentially have "lasso" and "the right person will stay" as possible songtitles if Lana still keeps the tradition of making title tracks, I believe these songs exists and will make it to the album.

If this is the country she aiming for - i can smell a 9.0 best new music from pitchfork & I can see 90/100 metacritic scores on their ways.

Honestly, if this is what these fuck ass insiders shitting on then I AM ALL IN FOR THE JOYRIDE LMAOOO. Because this is even more than what I expected for Henry. This song for me - once again cements the fact that Lana IS NO PREDICTABLE WHEN IT COMES TO HER ARTISTRY. I literally never can be able to tell where she takes me next with every of her move. At her 10th (possibly 11th), Lana still surprises me. I thought country is never gonna be for me but Lana proved me otherwise. This is the kind of country that Lana has so much potential to reinvent and redefine with her Legacy and "The right person will stay" is exactly THAT. That is why i fuck with her so much even after all these years.

- The harp really reminds me of Lungs by Florence + The Machine and Video Games (yes, that one song she called country) - The strings brings back that classic cinematic Lana sound, but this time: with those 50s 60s cowboy country flare, and hell, the music even reminds me of Gone With The Wind, Scarlet O'Hara vibes - Something about this song is so traditional country, but not those Blake Shelton, white male kinds, its giving classic American songbook kind of country. The song is so quiet, peaceful, yet underneath of it all, there's something so grandeur, so collossal and ancient about it. It's the feeling of a long lost age that once was something, but now long gone. There's no way I cant describe this feeling, it's like a real life paradox. Like its supposed to be just a simple country ballad, but there's something so post-war, post-apocalyptic about it. I think this is one of her best singles she has ever realeased IN YEARS.
