    I think it could be both. In her video for "candy necklace" the allusion is direct; as if it were a metamorphosis of the endangered American woman who does not end up flourishing, due to the dark side of the American dream. Basically, ending up dead.

    i don’t usually like country sounding records but mitski has blended some elements in really well with the indie folk-ish sound and it’s heavenly. i can really see lana going in that direction tbh :et:

    mitski sounds always the same for me... love a couple of songs tho, but sounds the same.... :pft:

    She’s a ex addicted and she now how to keep rolling the hype…. Her music it’s pure drugs I guess she only wanted attention and my god it’s really work. I’m sure she have a lot of accounts to seee what’s happening in the world and around her… I’m a big fan of Kate Bush so I will survive this

    I think you are right but can we have different opinions? I’m still celebrating the song released tho but I don’t think a speed it version was necessary… but yeah , she always do whatever she wants and that’s why I like her the most.

    Ocean Blvd and any of her upcoming projects don’t have to be something she’s done already. It just bugs me when I see comparisons to UV or remakes in UV style because people just fetch to happen so bad? 

    I’m getting mad with people saying “looook it’s a UV reference” girrrl she just sang the word “heaven” like “baby” 283746282 times it’s not that deep. 
     

    Ocean Blv is a magnum album that’s for sure
