Haven't posted here in a while I totally forgot about y'all. Okay so I have a question... might seem deranged since we just got the deluxe but do y'all think we'll get any more songs this era? Ik we all doubted her at first but she seems to be giving us what we want this era (TUNNEL VISION, MILK OF THE SIREN). K-12 era got 22 songs between the album, the two standalone singles & the After School EP. This era is much more successful and it'd be a waste not to capitalize off that imo. Maybe we can get an EP with the movie next year?
-
We got them on the same day actually! I think the Deluxe was just not available physically until the Extra Clutter EP came out.
-
outsold the new version... i wish she kept it as a bridge or sth
-
I believe Sirens will be in. Call me delusional but she literally said on the album sessions that it was her favorite song she'd written. It's also the most finished & polished out of the PORTALS leaks and it's very popular with fans. She has to know how much we love it and that alone should be a reason to put it in the album. Although her stubborn Taurus ass might think otherwise and scrap it to fulfill her vain vision for this shitshow of a "story".
-
??? Are any Keenan leaks circulating
-
Y'all I actually think Sirens and Dragon's Blood at LEAST are on this album... there's no way she teased us with that dragon hoodie and doesn't have DB on the album. As for Sirens, I think the "Moon Cycle" shirt actually fits the vibe of that song too. "The milk from the rivers of every moon" and "cut 'em off, leave waters red" are some of the lyrics so maybe the artist listened to that? Idk I'm coping With TV and FS on there I just refuse to believe at least Sirens won't make it... it's much more popular (and finished) than those two, especially FS.
-
We don't know if the record is explicit or not yet. THIS! I am actually holding out hope because she did skip on quite a few snippets.
-
Y'all think we'll get a snippet today?
-
It is not the same song at all. Listen closely, it just sounds kinda similar but is totally different, lyrically and melodically. K-12 had recurring effects throughout multiple different songs (the deep voice in almost all of them ) so the same thing is probably happening here. The new song just sounds kinda similar to Sirens.
-
THIS It annoys me to no end that people keep claiming Sirens is in when the only "confirmation" we have is... a song that sounds kinda similar to it??? The "follow the tunnel" song is actually confirmation that Sirens might not be on the album, because it probably replaced Sirens.
-
Lmao and why does your opinion count more than mine does? I am a victim too but I actually have critical thinking and won't stand with someone who planned out her accusations weeks before, sold her story as an exclusive to news outlets, gaslit people into believing her, said she didn't go to the police because "it's not like Melanie stabbed her". The list goes on and on (Timothy's friend confirming she stalks Melanie, her being outed as being jealous of her before the accusations).
-
Y'all are so unserious replying with GIFS and shit while talking about something like SA. It's obvious you don't care about real victims, and that's sad. Look deeper into Timothy's statements and leave this thread alone ❤️
-
As a survivor and Melanie fan it's always so shitty that this topic always has to come back every time she does something. If y'all actually looked into the allegations, and what Timothy has been saying in the last 3 years, you would not believe her. Y'all just want a reason to hate on Melanie and using rape allegations as an excuse is disgusting. - Sincerely, someone who initially believed Timothy.
-
Only the opening line of Faerie Soirée is present in the reworked song according to leakers. "Blue stars running down my forehead, cold wings flutter and they're moving, mushrooms everywhere I'm turning, laced with love intensive grooving"
-
Pretty unlikely. Mel likes to connect songs with a specific visual, and given that the visuals we have for the two snippets are different, it's pretty safe to assume these are different songs.
-
Y'all think she's gonna release a single before the album? I thought Back from the Dead was going to be her comeback single but it's looking like she's teasing an album with her posting more snippets. Either way, the album feels really close. I don't think she'll take months from announcement to release like K-12.

This is really random rn but I saw someone mentioned "Detention" has a generic chorus, and while I thought so for the longest time, I think I figured out how it relates to the meaning of the song. She's trying to seduce the principal's son in order to get what she wants. In my opinion it's basically a metaphor for up and coming artists who give out their bodies to higher ups to have a shot at fame. She also says this in "Show & Tell" (art don't sell unless you fuck every authority).

Here's my take: Test Me Function Lost & Found Notebook Absorb Under The Desk History Glued Copy Cat The Bakery Numbers Brain & Heart Fire Drill Field Trip This is gonna be a long read but let me explain. Test Me - Idc what anyone says, this 100% should've been the opener to After School. The whole EP (or LP in this case I guess) is based around this concept of "lessons" one can learn from the hardships in their daily life. Test Me just fits, seeing as the whole meaning of the song is accepting challenges and learning from them. Every song following it could be seen as a "challenge" - so it really sets the mood. Also the Test Me intro is epic, Mikey's prod snapped there, and it would've been amazing for the album to open like that. Function - It's a calmer song, so I think it fits after Test Me to establish the quieter/simpler sound most of the other AS songs have. I think this existential/not knowing what your purpose is concept really fits after a song about mortality. Lost & Found - How I see it, this song is basically about how "the past is in the past", you cant do anything to change it, so make due with what you have from this point on. It fits after Function, a song about feeling immobilized by your worried and bad experiences. She also kinda mentions being confident with her love life in this one. Which leads into... Notebook - We all know what this is about, I just put it here to kick start the series of breakup songs. She's unsatisfied with her lover and wants to break up with them. Absorb - She regrets the decision she made in Notebook and decides to give them a chance to "absorb all the love". She admits the breakup was a mistake ("I kinda took us here") and is ready to listen and forgive ("I'll hear you out I'll make it sprout"). Under The Desk - Once again, she steps back and realizes her lover hurt her as well, and it wasn't only her fault. She's ready to confront them (" I'll put up a fight") but she's still "just tryna find the solution"). History - Basically ties into the "back and forth" of the relationship. Even though she knows she and her partner "fucked it up so many times", she gets back together with them. She mentions ways that they hurt each other but she still wants to stop the back and forth fighting and accept the love between them. Glued - After the confusing back and forth of this relationship, she's ready to learn the lessons of a healthy attachment & detachment. Copy Cat - I don't think there's a natural way to transition from the previous songs to Copy Cat, but this is a good song to start the next "phase" of the album, which is themed around her role in the industry. We all know what Copy Cat is about so moving on. The Bakery - This song is about her working at a bakery but it really could double as a song about the music industry. She's constantly shelving out songs, videos, art etc. but the "Bakery" still wants her to "make some more"; the cash sound effects in the pre chorus and the mentions to her "boss" could really lead to the next song. Numbers - A song directed at the people behind the industry, I feel like I don't need to explain how The Bakery leads to this. She's calling out people who want to control her art and use it as a cash cow for their own gain. Brain & Heart - Put this here because of the final line to Numbers: "My heart space and my cranium must be loved too my dear, don't push me to the edge until I'm useless and can't feel". I think this makes sense to be on the later half of the LP because it's a lesson that usually comes later for a lot of people, and takes a lot of effort to learn. Fire Drill - Using logic & emotion, she shows an understanding side to people who judge her or her art. She presents herself as someone who's always been misunderstood, which makes sense in the context of the songs previous to this one. The bridge of Fire Drill serves as a good conclusion to the rest of the songs ("I don't hold anger anymore"), and the "I'm getting out of here" at the end make it a really cool closer; this is, to me, the end of the After School "storyline". The next song is more like a "one last word" thing. Field Trip - Makes sense for this to be at the end, it's a song about being herself, living her life without caring what anybody says. Especially after Fire Drill, a song that touches upon people doubting her. This being the closer would make perfect sense: she's figured out who she is, doesn't care what others think, she's found her purpose. This song has a really fun and upbeat outro too, so it'd be cool to end this album on that note.

How is this gonna work if the movie isn't even filmed yet? If the single comes out in April, the album has got to come out in like November at the latest, but it sounds like the film is going to take up to a year from now to complete. The only way this could make sense is if the album comes out and then the movie, but that'd be kinda lame since the songs wouldn't have any sort of visual until much later in the era's lifetime.

Is the new Dragon's Blood real???
-
Y'all didn't complain about the same music box and xylophone sound effects on every Cry Baby song... y'all just want an excuse to hate her new stuff. And that isn't even bad, like she has to make the songs sound cohesive somehow. K-12 failed on that imo bc it made every song sound the same, but MM3 does it super well so far, the songs fit together but don't blend in w/ each other.
-
Literally all I said was that I didn't like Dragon's Blood (that it was melodically annoying or something) 🤧 but I've grown to like it now tbh. Plus it was confirmed that it was just a demo and since more MM3 leaks came out it was proven that the album doesn't sound anything like DB so😇 And even still I didn't drag Melanie to the degree that these ppl do
-
Y'all complaining about an album that isn't even out yet 😐 It's not even bad so far, matter of fact, some of these might be among Melanie's best. They don't owe y'all a CB 2.0. What they ought to do tho is hurry tf up cuz this rollout will be messier than K-12 atp
-
Is that Barely Juice 3rd version real orrrr
-
This is horrible. Yes, we could've had the album now if it weren't for the damn film and if she hadn't sat on After School for a whole year but Jesus these people need to learn to respect artists, especially someone like Melanie who takes time to craft an entire story around her albums. I hope her label encourages her to abandon ship on the film and release this project early. But we know that ain't happening
