no def same.... like that line is SUCH a punch once it comes in considering in the first half of the song she mentions all her other family members by their "title" in a positive light- basically saying she wants to be with them in life, death&whatever comes afterwards... "will you be there with me father, sister brother?" "give me a mausoleum with dad, grandma, grandpa" so you start to anticipate when patty will b addressed n once she she is..yeah like i said !! A PUNCH !!

WHAT KIND OF MOTHER WAS SHE:scream:

exactly!! and the way it's delivered is def one of the emotional highlights of the song that gets stuck in your head along with "all i wanted to do was kiss aaron greene and sit by...", "and dave who hung himself real high". i understand there's some significance to that choice but especially having heard the original version this one seems off

  2. Spoiler

i love more available, light-hearted songs, but i also love when music demands a certain level of attention and thinking to fully understand it. dig deeper into the lyrics, fully process them, the feelings and emotions words and music convey, listen to the songs multiple times. you really have to feel the poetry and the melodies in your bones :crai:

@LetTheLightln BESTIE noone replied to me & you're the LB resident nr1 LTLI & Beatles stan so I need your thoughts :thumb:

    Spoiler

oof i definitely hear it too :defeated: the whole song is very beatlesque, esp the guitars, i just thought they remind me a bit of the guitar in here comes the sun? i also thought that ltli is like a continuation of tomorrow never came, or rather a story of something that happened before it. they sound very alike too. i'm surprised insiders didn't compare them
