    didnt she confirm wayyy back that neither make you mine nor spring breakers were gonna be on the album, when we got the snippets from her & ag‘s set?

    This win feels so … empty somehow? Pls dont come for me. I just think Midnights rly cant compare to her other AOTY wins + it just doesnt match some of the other contenders quality wise and idk thats just the truth to me. Feels like she was more awarded for her incredible achievements this past year & the eras tour. Like I actually didn’t expect her to win because a record breaking AOTY (!!!) win would just seem so… shallow in a sense. 

     

    And when she announced TTPD I wasn‘t even really shocked or gagged I was literally just like… Huh… okay I guess.  

     

    Not that I‘m not excited! I‘m looking forward to listening to the album, but we‘ve been fed SO much these past years which is cool but also kinda makes it impossible to catch a breath and live with a piece of art for a while. And I‘m worried that she‘s eventually gonna fall from this high because how is she gonna become more successful than this? I genuinely believe she puts this much music out because she wants to and is happy creating. That I cheer for! It‘s the other stuff around it that makes me anxious and nervous.

    I agree and I hope so too. Iirc she mentioned Keshas Animal era as an inspiration as well, and Kesha does this similar style of talking directly in her songs if that makes sense idk I see the connection. 

     

    Also her being like this album is gossipy, about other people etc. I buy that to a certain point, but I believe it will be much more than just "shit talking" - based on the vibe I get from Girl. I mean, Charli is usually sooo open and vulnerable in her lyrics and I feel like shes always kind of struggling with herself & her faults so I think this will be definitely a continuing theme throughout XCX6. Seeing how she‘s lived through quite some drastic changes since Crash (I assume…) I think she will approach this self reflecting/self aware aspect of her music differently and if it involves expressing difficult and uncomfortable feelings - even towards other people - I believe it to be earnest and genuine, which I very much appreciate and look forward to. I think it‘s very brave of her, to say what isn‘t meant to be said, but everyone kind of thinks it. 

     

    This is just my take on what I think the album will be partly thematically about - again, kind of based on I think about it all the time and Girl.

    also regarding girl .:. i get why yall dont vibe with the lyrics howeveeeerrr TO ME…. its not necessarily relatable since im not a pop star feuding with another pop star but theres something about those complex feelings you sometimes have towards other women who make you feel insecure but you actually kinda like them and yeah idk i completely getttt the feelings she expresses there and im obsessed with how open she is with that so TO MEEEE its lyrical perfection but yeah

    i feel like maybe shes overthinking and panicking… which i understand… i mean we have no idea what those stories are exactly but i imagine its similar to girl .. and i want more of those … but whats the point if shes not comfortable with it
