girl … you need to talk to your local politicians not some celebrity who probably played in a town that had the infrastructure (and I don’t mean just the venue) for her to safely put on a show for her audience. Covering this popular song is not fetishizing, she just loves it and it’s an American classic that’s popular globally.

It's a bad song. LMAO local politicians help but the governor and everyone in Charleston sucks. There's plenty of other places Lana could've played in WV. She chose the rich part of the state, chose to donate the money made back to the rich, and low-key I feel like she only played Charleston to feel like it was acceptable to release this cover. IDK it's CRINGE.

  2. Honestly, as a West Virginian, I can't stand this song. The song writer wrote it about another state and hadn't even been to WV. I know Lana covered it before playing Charleston, but I just wanna say that Charleston is like the richest part of the state and not even a full reflection of the state. I was annoyed she chose to play rich West Virginia and not in a real city or town in the state. I uhhh think Lana sounded good on this cover, I just get annoyed with the fetishizing of the state, when in fact it's poor and it's definitely in trouble, and Charleston does nothing to help. Lana playing Charleston and donating the money to Charleston really made me feel distance from stanning Lana. Lana covering this song made me feel distance too. My state needs help and not to be fetishized. Xoxo.

The Grants would've been better without the gospel singers, Lana could've done those gospel parts with her layered vocals, don't tell me it wouldn't have sounded way better if she did :oprah3:

I was hoping her family was gonna be singing with her and then I heard bg singers and they're talented but there was uh a huge missed opportunity to have her family join her

greenwich has a lyric which still confuses fans to this day... "diamond horseshoe wedding ring and the...?" if she really is saying "tile aisle", i feel like she could be talking about walking down the aisle (which would make sense since she mentions a wedding ring) maybe the venue or building has tiles on the walls or the floor? i just think it's a stretch to say she's saying "tiara" but it's still hard to tell for certain, maybe we'll finally put this mystery to rest when greenwich acid leaks....

  7. Hi lb xoxo

The last couple of years I've been working on this experimental noise album. Inspired by Cass Elliot, Van Dyke Parks, and LDR.

When Lana teased UV, she claimed it was "unlistenable." This term really stuck with me and since then, I've wanted to record an album so layered that it is impossible to hear every part.

I was heavily influenced by Cass Elliott's album Dream a Little Dream of Me and Van Dyke Parks' Song Cycle. There's too much to say tbh so I'll just shut up now.

I present to you, my debut album, "SURE, JAN"

Personally this is very sad but I’m going to continue listening to leaks…. And my god this is about to sound so horrible but like… I will be eagerly awaiting if any tracks leak from this :biblio: like.. it could be a goldmine.

its a terrible situation but since it’s already been stolen….

obviously I feel for her and I don’t want anything to come out that messes with her plans or ruins a release, and I hate to see ppl infringing on her privacy & putting her in danger- she shouldn’t have to go thru any of this at ALL.

but I’d be lying if I said i wasn’t fucking perched for a single CRUMB when all these “leakers” have been giving us is snippets

People saying they are above and now against leaks should deleted everything that they have that's leaked. Maybe kahne outtakes could emerge from this. Probably not tho.

Whoever did this is disgusting and I hope they send her the book files and I hope they don't leak her book or any projects she was going to release. Also give her the cameras back

  9. How will we ever know if a leaked song is from this robbery?!? So sad... I knew about it happening one time, but she said this is the third time?!? When was her second hard drive stolen?!? Feeling awful for her. Love u Lana

Look I know this comment is 5 years old but what

    How do you-

The chords are similar and melodies fit over each other. I meant this in a good way, as in, this album sounds cohesive
