  1. Its so sketchy bc I didn't order the Candy Necklace vinyl when it initially dropped but my friend did and he got it shortly after. When they restocked it, I ordered it immediately. Right after that the SYTH vinyl dropped and I ordered it literally the second it became available. I still haven't gotten the Candy Necklace Vinyl but I got the SYTH one like a week after I ordered it, and my friend who ordered the SYTH vinyl at the same time still hasn't received his.

I also got the Urban Outfitters Ultraviolence vinyl from a reseller on amazon and i think it might be a fake :lolno2:

  2. The performance was so good!! I don't think I've ever seen a Lana concert with so much production, especially the opening.

My only complaint, did anyone else notice the weird vocal track during parts of Ride? Like when she sings "don't break me down" and the track echoes it back. The track sounds like two people yelling the lyrics into an iphone 4 and then playing it on the speakers. Her actual voice was lovely though

fishtail would be really good if she chose someone else to produce it: the cheap beats, the autotune, and the rest of the instrumental for the most part are just not doing it for me. but i still love the lyrics so much and i think some of her vocals are really beautiful, especially when she sings “if you’re not coming home to me”

I want to hate on Margaret for obvious reasons but Fishtail is such a letdown to me. I like it and all but its a bit too repetitive for me, plus one of the only standout lines from it "Ella Fitzgerald, yeah, feeling hella rare" sounds straight from a Taylor Swift song....

But I have good intentions even if I'm one of the last ones

This part in Grandfather makes me cringe a little bit:toofunny:

No i'm a GPSOTSOMFWHDSF apologist. They constantly berated her for being a "middle-aged white woman" online and she clapped back. Trust me I cringed the entirety of the QFTC debacle but I stand with this lyric.

To my understanding, the 'Candy Necklaces" are all women in Hollywood, or really just famous women, being objectified and glamourized and overall dehumanized.

I (think) the first might be Jackie Kennedy? The second woman portrayed is obviously Marilyn Monroe. I (also think) the third is a Jessica Rabbit, or a real life Jessica Rabbit-esque woman. Then its the Black Dahlia, and finally, Lana herself. They are the candy necklaces. The constant behind the scenes shots are meant to humanize these women, showing that they're more than figures or representations in the media, they're real people.

The blood, to me, signifies the often tragic ends to this style of life, being idolized, etc. It could also just be a reference to the tragic end to Elizabeth Short (Black Dahlia), as her scene was shown right after the blood.

I get her point & concept & understand her intention but she needs to release "Candy Necklace (Director's Cut/ Short Version)" while she's at it :lange: I want to see the music video as in music video form tho. :hair:

this IS the music video form :/

i feel like everyone hating on the bts shots are missing the whole point of the video...

Couldn't find any photos of Nicole Nodland's Born To Die ...

I definitely think she's reflecting how much alike she is to these historically idolized women, or how much they've influenced her in the past and now. She was kind of expecting this life from the beginning of her fame; i.e. "I can be your China doll, you want to see me fall."

Ok someone provide me with a thought-provoking analysis about the deeper meaning of the video because I’m dumb :stareney2:

can someone tell me the significance of the blood? does it symbolize death? is it directly related to the death scene at the end? or is it supposed to be like “blood diamonds”?

lana feeling comfortable with sharing pics of her b00bs cause she knows all of her fans are gay therefore will only see the artistic intent behind it without sexualizing her:true:

The way in which when DYK was announced I shared some of the promo pictures on my story (not the full nipple one, this was before that) and some straight guys I know responded to it with the nastiest fucking emojis and comments and it gave me the ick so fucking bad that I took it down

Like artistically it's gorgeous but I forget sometimes that straight men are fucking vile and cannot see any part of women's anatomy without getting a mental boner because they sexualize EVERYTHING

    anyways rant over
